It was more oily than I was expecting and went bad a lot quicker than I think it should have. That being said, I thought it had bold, smokey flavor and a little went a long way. (hence it went south before I could use it all.)

Not what I remember
Smells like cat food and worse than fish that comes in a can. This one is slimy and weird.Seems like I remember this one being a nice drier flakey fish, but must have been a different brand. Ick

Pretty good Smoked Salmon for Dips.
I have bought this brand regularly over the years. Last few purchases seemed considerably less smoky and more “fishy” than in the past. I like the size of packages. Each will nicely flavor about one full pound of Cream Cheese or Neufchâtel, adding some dry mustard, granulated garlic, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Sometimes I add only pepper and chopped garlic tops. Pretty good, but quality & flavor are not as good as in the past.

Just plain delicious.
A great tasting product and a great deal, IMHO. The smoke is there, but not overwhelming. Dried from the smoking process, but not dry (if that makes sense). You really taste the quality of the fish.I mostly ate it as a snack on Ritz crackers with a bit of cream cheese and capers. Would be even better on a bagel with a little onion and tomato.But even by itself like jerky it's really good.Lastly, it's quite rich, so I was able to get three nice snack portions from this one relatively small piece.Very impressed. Will be ordering more.

It's edible, but not enjoyable.
It was a real piece of salmon, however it was sour and tasted slightly better than cat food. It also kind of tasted like whoever mixed the artificial smoke flavor chemicals didn't do a very good job.
