Just what I needed
Needed to replace a muzzle device. Due to the way the gas system was designed needed a solid and reliable clamp to prevent damage to the gas system. This clamped onto the barrel and allowed me to remove the muscle device and install the new one without applying any torque two parts that should not be torqued on.I shimmed with green painters tape to prevent marring the barrel. Thin leather swatcheswould also work well and would be highly recommended for dealing with any sassy muzzle devices.

Decent product.
These will do the job and protect my barrels finishes but I do wish they had magnets to hold them securely to my vise jaws. Not a big deal but it would make these a 5 star rating.

I use these to rebarrel M1 Garands.
A few inches of duct tape keeps them stuck to my vice jaws while working.

It worked for me!
I used it remove a flash hider I blued lock tighted on a barrel. The upper in the configuration I had it in could not be supported by the receiver. I had to support and grip the assembly from the barrel. I did use scrap leather I had to line the jaws when I gripped the barrel. The leather lined jaws worked. It was an economical solution to problem. Item is well made and reasonably priced.

I should have got these sooner
This was perfect for my needs. I needed to remove a muzzle break that had no wrench slots and was held in place with a crush washer. Nothing seemed to hold the barrel firmly enough for me to get a good bite to loosen the muzzle break. These clamps worked perfectly by locking the barrel firmly in place with no slipping at all. I did put a layer of tape in the channel to ensure I did not scratch the barrel, but it likely wasn't necessary.

They Work Well, Some Modification May Be Needed
These do the job fairly well. I wish they were a little shorter. They nearly cover the front sight post and muzzle device of an AR. I cut a small section of water hose to insert inside the pads to help 'fill in the gap' between the muzzle device and front sight post. Otherwise, all that would be receiving the clamping pressure there were two small tapered areas that made me a little nervous.
