Jonathan Green & Sons 10318 5lb Black Beauty Seed

Started seeing grass in two weeks.

Quality grass seed that had germination at 5 days. I am a little over the 2 week mark and the seed is coming in great. They color is looking incredible.

My grass has never looked this good since we moved in the new house 3 years ago ! Yes you’ll spend a little bit more but definitely worth it !!

I've tried so many seeds over so many years. This seems to be the best. It could be that all the rain helped. It grows fast and looks thicker and greener than other new grasses. I tested 2 spots with the familiar scotts and this JG. The Jonathan Greene grew SO much better overall.

I cultivated and aerated the parts of my lawn to be seeded, checked for ph as well as began a healthy watering regiment.... zero results

Love this brand fescue seed for over seeding lawn. The brands you pick up at home improvement store have FAR TOO MANY weed seeds.

Having had an excellent experience with Jonathan Green's Deep Shade grass mix, I thought I would try their seeds for sunny areas, also hoping that the advertised deep roots would help during spells of dry weather. I'm quite disappointed to find that, despite soil preparation, frequent watering and even 2 reapplications of seed, virtually no grass has appeared. I wonder whether my "lawn soil", which comes from a large chain of home and garden products in bags bearing the names of national lawn products companies, contains or lacks something that affects this grass seed product.
