MicroplaneChili Mill - Perfect for Grinding Chili Peppers into Flakes and Seasoning Food

I'm a big fan of crushed red pepper. Wanted to make my own. Grew, smoked, and dried my own peppers. Cut the stems off and just shove them in to this thing. It doesn't have the volume of a pepper grinder but that's good. Especially if you throw habanero or ghost peppers in there with your cayennes. One of the best and most used kitchen gadgets I've bought in years. Got 2 more for my in laws and sister for Christmas. I love this thing so much I've contemplated bringing it with me when i take the family out for dinner.

I do not own this product - yet (buying now in fact).I was able to get a demo while on vacation and man does this thing work well!See that center shaft with the cup looking bottom? It holds the seeds when grinding!That is a huge feature as it keeps the hard and sometimes bitter seeds out of the ground chili peppers.Only reason I gave this a 4 was it could be smaller.

I like to dry my own peppers. I usually store them in a paper bag and break them apart into dishes when I want a little bit of heat. In doing so, I'd get different sized pepper flakes in my food. But, this Microplane Chili Mill is wonderful. It provides a really fine grind and you can distribute the peppers evenly into your food. I also think it brings out the heat of the peppers really well.The mill feels well made, and I have had no issues with it at all. I can't imagine not having one of these. I love it.
