How can i exchange this item mine is not working

Put it in the trash and leave feedback so other don't make the same mistake as we did. I would never recommend this item to anyone! Mine stopped working too, waste of money...

If i use this tool to check a 24v dc circuit how much current will it draw? my goal is something around 1amp at 24 volts.

It depends on what system you checking some starter systems drive to 160 A

Ho long does it take for display to indicate voltage?

If your connected to a proper ground such as the negative post of the battery it should be immediately

Does the tester have a visible light? I need to test pulsing ignition circuits and a digital meter alone would be too slow to react.

It does not have a pulsing light. The digital readout lights up, then shows voltage. Although you could go off of the screen lighting up, but i'm not sure how accurate that would be.
