I bought this to replace a different toilet paper holder. The one I had previously was a different brand and model that I purchased on Amazon and it was awful. Over time it became lose and one of the kids actually used it to help themselves get off the toilet and we needed to replace it. I didn't want to make the same mistake again so I bought this one after reading all the reviews and I'm so glad I did. It was a breeze to install and it feels incredibly sturdy. I have zero hesitation that I will have to fix or replace it in the future. It looks really nice and clean as well.

I bought three of these because my toddlers were always pulling out, eating, and/or losing the springs and tubes for the TP holders in my house, and large Costco-size toilet paper rolls would rub against the base of the old TP holder.What I like about these:1. These TP holders can hold any size TP roll without rubbing against the wall or the base.2. They are really study, and come with decent wall anchors. They can withstand the weight of a small child pulling up on them. Plus, there's nothing to get lost because everything is attached to the wall. These have good weight and feel.Some notes:1. Some reviewers noted there's play in the arm. Simple fix. As you can see from my photo, there's no play in mine. If its loose, note that there's an easily accessible screw visible from behind the hinge. Just tighten the screw with a screw driver until it's tight to your liking. I like mine stiff so it can't be spun.2. The installation allows room for error. The wall mounting plates can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally when using the included wall anchors. So even if you don't drill your holes correctly, it's not a problem - unless you're really far off. Note though, if you use a wood screw to drill into the wall stud, there's no room for error.3. This is designed a lot wider and bulkier than it need to be. If you have a small bathroom, this might not be the best choice TP holder.4. The TP rolls really easy with this holder. If you have children who like to spin TP, some things you can do; squeeze the TP before sliding it in, so it doesn't roll very well; and slide the tp so it spins out closer to the wall - my children only like to spin stuff towards them, so this way the toilet paper doesn't come undone from the spinning.

I mostly like this holder. It looks good, feels solid and the pivoting works well. However the design flaw is with the way it engaged when you lower it back down. The pivoting part just rests on the fixed part with no lip or locking mechanism. So when you pull on the toilet paper it pulls forwards off the rest instead of engaging solidly in the fixed part. Such an easy design flaw to fix but for some reason they have not.

From past reviews, I was aware that it would be difficult to install. My handyman did a decent job, though the arm doesn't fit 100% against the abutting piece when it falls into place. Still, I love this holder for three reasons: (1) It really works! It's a breeze to use and refill. (2) Because I have elegant modern fixtures and towel bars, I wanted something that would match or blend nicely with them, and this model fills the bill. And finally, (3) I have to confess that this is the fourth model I have tried in an effort to match the rest of my fixtures; the others were open on one side and the TP roll kept flying off into inconvenient spaces. This one solves the problem.

Was skeptical about this 'new' type of toilet paper holder. It's a really great idea!We didn't want the open ended 'fancy' toilet paper holders because we have pets who know how to remove then roll from the holder...lol. We were almost resolved to use the regular spring loaded (lock & load) traditional paper holder when we stumbled across this. WOW!All we can is this...we're never going back to the spring loaded toilet paper holders again. Ever. The functionality and looks are hands down the best toilet paper holder on the market. Once side turns up out of the framework to load/unload the toilet paper roll. Once it's in the 'use me' position, it stays put. Our pets can't open it and we're not shooting springs across the bathroom floor when we don't quite get the roll seated properly. Oh, looks super, too.Truthfully, we never really thought about toilet paper holders much at all except to match fixtures in bath remodels. Now we're thinking about all the details. Once you own this, you'll never go back to any of the traditional toilet paper holders. Thank you, Moen, for spending the time to re-invent the lowly toilet paper holder. You rock!

Was a little daunted about my wife's DIY ability when I read some of the reviews. BUT, she said it was very easy to put up, it has no unsightly gaps, closes properly and is very secure. Well worth the money. Adds a touch of class to the 'smallest room'.

The diameter of the cardboard tube in the center of the rolls that are available in Australia is too small to fit over the end of the pivot post. That is: you could not get the roll on to the pivoting bar. I did not read all the reviews and later noticed that another person had had the same problem. Otherwise the roll holders would have been suitable if you want a plain, rather chunky look.

It looks great, but unfortunately the bulbous end of the holder is too big for a 'normal' size toilet roll to fit over it with any ease. Very disappointed.

If you’re in Australia, don’t bother- this doesn’t fit a standard toilet roll on- couldn’t get it over the end. It’s also huge- waay chunkier than it looks and that detracts aesthetically
