Prym Heat Resistant Irn Ruler

Saw these in a few YouTube videos and thought I’d pick them up, almost £3 cheaper on Amazon than my local sewing supplies store. The quality is really good, works on high and low heats on multiple fabrics. They’re thinner than I expected but that’s great for having less margin of error. Super easy to read and see where you want to iron and have hardly holes punched for marking the fabric too. Highly recommend!

Great product and so useful for measuring and ironing hems etc. Makes things so much easier

I keep burning my fingers. They're basically glorified cardboard and there's nothing to help grip the material, so if you're ironing a narrow hem, it's nearly impossible without burning yourself. Ind then you have to wait for it to cool before you can use it for the next bit. It works but for the cost I'd recommend spending a few pounds more and buying a more substantial product, and save yourself from scorching your fingers.

These appear very flimsy but they are exactly what I need to get a crisp even fold for a hem. Simple to use. I am very happy with them so far.

Great they don’t melt, however they are not that big and so your fingers are always near the hot iron. the smaller of the two does start to curl after a while and I think are quite expensive for just some thin heat proof plastic.

These are flimsier than I expected. They do the job reasonably well, but I thought there would be more of a hard ruler edge. They’re some kind of man-made flexible plasticky material and I’m always worried the iron will melt them, but hasn’t… yet.

Este ayudante para planchar bieses, vivos, dobleces y bajos de pantalón. Tiene una pinta endeble que te da la sensación de que has tirado el dinero. Pero no se dobla, ni se arruga ni se deteriora con el calor de la plancha. No sé de qué material está hecha pero no se altera. Trae dos guías una grande y otra pequeña. Muy útil para patchwork o cualquier trabajo de costura donde necesites marcar dobleces de forma precisa con la plancha. Suelo ser bastante escéptica con los gadgets que se ofertan para facilitar la costura porque al final suelen acabar arrinconados en un cajón porque entorpecen más que ayudan. Así que ésta guía me ja sorprendido para bien. Útil y efectiva. Os la recomiendo.
