This has become such a big help with my plants. I have a few finicky plants, a triostar stromanthe, and a Calathea, to be specific - both plants that need a good level of humidity, just the right amount of light, and specific water requirements. When I ordered this I didn't even realize it will also help me measure soil pH.As a test run the meter runs well with freshly watered soil, obviously saying "wet". On my driest plan, it said "dry" so I know it works on basic water measurement which I could measure myself. As with all plants I measure about two inches down, and it gives a pretty accurate description if I've left the meter in and go to check it daily. I think it could use a more accurate light meter reading, maybe with a larger solar panel, but it does the job.Since using this I've been watering with precision and my plants are LOVING it. My triostar has been perkier, and I stopped having to fight my Calathea with it's curling leaves. I specifically love this for my potted plants that DO NOT have drainage holes, only lava rocks or river rocks to help with drainage. I find it most accurate if it stays in the plant.Aside from the product working, I totally didn't see this came with a little garden tool kit. They're all what seems to be bamboo, the shears are sharp, and I've been able to use it for my Peperomea propagation. (Say that five times fast). All in all big fan of this meter, and I'll be purchasing more for gifts, and for my own uses.Thanks!

Long story short, I had to throw these out after 3 months. I bought multiples and they all failed.These meters are great for judging soil moisture and acidity at first, but after a VERY SHORT period of time, (~2 months), the probes have corroded and the moisture meter only goes up to a "4", which means "barely moist". Even when the entire probe is inserted in a pitcher of water, it only reads up to a 4 now. Absolutely terrible, such a disappointment. I didn't realize they'd started to go bad, so I ended up overwatering my plants a bit, causing them to get brown and yellow tips.Really unfortunate because they worked great initially, they just have zero staying power. A waste of money.

I was so pleased by the little tools that came in this kit. They are beautiful and functional! The meter is easy to use and is helping me get the alkaline levels right to save my tomato plants.Much easier to use than some more expensive soil meters. Very happy with the product especially for the price!

From what I can tell, the moisture meter works ok. It only seems to read dry or very wet--but that could absolutely just be me still waiting for my plants to dry out (I got this because I'm often guilty of over-watering, as well as bad at gauging when the plants have adequately dried out to water again).My issue is mostly with the rest of the tools. Scissors not sharp, barely cut anything (both). Spades and rake tiny, bent out of shape with very light use, already rusting too after just an hour or two of light use. Pretty crappy.

Very Good. Brand new garden this year the infor'mation I get from this is a great help. The moist'ure level in the raised beds are not alw'ays easy to tell, this helps with that, just poke it in get a reading. I'm still lea'rning about the PH how it effects pl'ants. Very Good. This helps me know what to add to the soil to balance it, or wh'at plants would do better in that soil.Very Good.

So apparently I use to overwater my house plants and it would make me sad. I was literally killing them when I was only trying to help! Well, not anymore! The additional benefits of whether or not i have the correct ph balance and enough light is awesome. The best part is this little gizmo doesn't need batteries, it just magically works lol.

I use the Soil Meter sunlight tester basically to check the moisture of my orchids, as I don't want to overwater. It serves the purpose, along with other functions that I really haven't used yet, and to get the miniature tool kit was a bonus. Very good buy.

My girlfriend's birthday was semi-recently, and I ordered several things for her online, just because I wanted to have multiple presents for her to open. Because of COVID only two of them arrived in time for her big day, sadly, so I told her a bunch more surprises are on the way. When this arrived I remembered she was just recently mentioning her Madagascar vine was having problems with light and moisture, and I realized I had a perfect extra gift for her on my hands! :) Thank you for the great gift idea!Also comes with all those plant tending tools pictured, I didn't even know were meant to be included in the purchase, I thought they were just fluff for the product shot, an additional surprise for my girlfriend, and me!

I bought this soil meter to help with my indoor plants, the tools came as a bonus for me. In using the meter, the first day I got it, it read that all my plants had WET soil which made sense as I had just watered them the day before. I'm waiting to see if that changes after 2 weeks.Something to note is that the meter does not hold the read for long, I left it in the soil for an hour and it went from WET to DRY - which confused me a bit, wasn't sure if this means its not accurate. Just to check, I stuck it in a cup of water and it only red MOIST and bordered WET, but did not read WET to the max. I'm concerned that it isn't working correctly. I'll be checking my soil again, if it isn't reading MOIST/DRY by then, I'll likely return the item as defective. I will update my post when I do.

I love this set, has many handy things for pruning the trees and the moisture tester seems to work very well!

I like the clippers and small tools, but water moisture reader is completely useless. It doesn’t work!

As a plant lover myself, I really needed this product. Saved my plants from overwatering..
