Helinox Savanna High-Back Collapsible Camp Chair

I'm 6' tall, 250lbs and have long struggled to find a comfortable camping chair. The two fatal flaws most chairs have is the crossbar that causes your legs to go numb, and for those of us that dance dangerously close to 300lbs durability/strength. This chair has no crossbar, I've got many hours of field-use and have never felt discomfort, and it's super skookum (durable). The frame has thick wall tubes made of high quality aluminum, I've never felt that I may break it or even come close. For those reasons alone I love this chair, but if you add in how compact and light it is when collapsed down in the carrying case it really makes it something awesome! I travel frequently for work, and have had this in my roller bag for several months, it doesn't eat up space or add weight but boy is it nice to be able to whip out a chair should the need arise (especially while flying during the covid era, seating can be limited...). I've, of course, used it while camping/during recreation as well and it again performs as expected. The only things I can ding the Helinox on is ridiculously priced accessories, like the shoulder strap for the carry bag (which, honestly, should be included with a $200 chair). But it's easy enough to find cheaper alternatives. Also, the sewn in cup holders won't work terribly well for open-top beverages but the Helonix rigid cup holder accessory is very reasonable priced, and works well to solve this Is it cheap? No. Do I think it's worth every penny? Yes.

One of the most comfortable camping chairs I've ever sat in. I really like the way the back leans back about 10 to 15° versus being straight up and down like most camping chairs. These chairs are extremely lightweight coming in at around 4 lb. They also pulled up to a measurement of about 16 in by 6. In. This leaves much more space for packing other gear. Really, really nice chair!

I have been so excited about this chair I had to write a review, even though I've barely had it for more than a day. I have been trying to find a collapsible but comfortable chair to use in my minivan camper setup. The setup is primarily for visiting my grandkids, but I also love to go out there and have my evening coffee as the evening cools. I wanted a chair that could easily get small enough to put in the front seat when it's time to get some sleep. What a journey to find that chair! I literally purchased 7 other chairs, decent brands, but each one had its flaws and none of them worked. I finally looked at Helinox, knowing that the cost set them apart but so did their quality. I did a quick learn on how each of their chairs differs and quickly realized that the Savanna came up at the top in comfort. That was my key word. I took the measurements and compared them to the limited space I had for the chair and it seemed that it might be close but it should work. I watched several reviews and learned that this chair is undeniably top notch in quality and comfort. I decided to purchase one for myself. All I can say is that I was excited when first handling it to see its obvious superior quality compared to the others. It went together very easily and definitely without the "strain" required on the other brands. My first sit in the chair was just as they said - wonderful, comfortable, no pressure points, nothing but quality! What a joy! Then I had to test it inside my minivan. Would it fit? As you can see in the pictures, while it is generous in size, it fit easily inside the space I had for "a chair". In fact, it fit better than any of the others, even those with smaller frames, in how the support bars were positioned relative to the cot I use for my bed (with sleeping pad on it). Just more WOWS to my surprised. After almost three months, I finally found "the one". I am so happy! The workmanship is obvious. The fabric is quality and definitely surpasses any of the other brands I had tried. The stitching on it and even on the carrying case reflects that quality as well. With this chair there is no wondering how long it will last etc. You can tell that it will but there is a 5 year warranty on it. The height of the chair is wonderful! It easily fit inside my minivan and I am surprised at how comfortable it is to have a pillow in the pillow holder as well. It's the kind of chair that makes you yawn soon after you sit down in it. It is literally perfect!! I may keep it "set up" for lengths of time. But knowing who quickly and easily it assembles, I will always have the option to detach the fabric and detach the chair legs quickly if I want to just put it entirely away. I honestly cannot say enough about this chair. Having tried a few other brands and styles, I will say that the knockoffs aren't all bad, but for someone looking for a chair that meets all the needs without any hidden flaws or failures, this one is it. It sure helped to have it on sale since that made it a little easier to justify it. But having seen the chair, its case, and all of its quality, I honestly cannot say that it would not be worth the price if it had cost me more. SO thankful for this chair. I anticipate getting a lot of use and a lot of quiet time and cups of coffee with it!

Light weight and study. Packs into a small space is the best quality. No arm rest or cup holder.

My favorite chair! I finally found a chair my husband likes and it packs down so small in the car. We were so tired of bulky lawn chairs. This really fixes that problem and they are so comfortable. I bought the Sunset and my husband this one because it is bigger. These go up so easily. Not sure why I read reviews that they are hard to assemble. Just hold the center bar and they basically snap together with a magnetic connection. I also bought it foot stools and the cup holders. Altogether they still do not worth as much as one cheaper chair and these will definitely hold up for a long time. Seams are well co stricter and material is great. Glad I bought this investment in comfort around the fire.

I'm 6'5 and this highback actually supports my head. I have several ultralight chairs, and this is probably a bit too heavy to be called that, but it's so comfortable the extra weight is definitely worth it. Assembles easy, and very stable.

We've had these for about 4 months now and used them about 5-6 times on camping trips and at parties. Everyone that see's them is amazed at how light yet sturdy they feel. When I tell them how much they cost they tend to cringe, but quality isn't cheap these days. We also bought the fleece covers, inflateable headrests and stabilizing feet for them. Excellent addition to our camping setup and great for many other uses. Highly recommend.

Fantastic chair! I have been looking for a high quality outdoors chair for a while now. I had always known of Helinox but never registered them with larger, roomier chairs. I happened to stumble upon the Savanna chair and decided to give it a try. Wow! Takes less than a minute casually putting this chair together. It's so simple, it almost puts itself together. I went with the Coyote Tan color and it's great! This chair is so comfortable, I sat in it at first and just zoned out. It's really nice! Also, taking it apart is quick and painless too. I can say it is very sturdy and I went ahead and purchased the ball feet which makes it feel even more well put together. I highly recommend getting a pillow or rolling up a blanket to put as a head rest - it completes the package for sure. I would recommend this to anyone. I understand the price is high, however, you're purchasing a high quality piece of equipment with a great warranty. You're also buying into the Helinox world and there are many accessories you can add to this chair to make it even better.

Ein super Stuhl. Sehr kleines Packmass. Sehr leicht. Top für kompakte Campervans. Man sitzt sehr bequem. Auch die Sitzhöhe ist gut. Wir haben den direkten Vergleich zu dem Produkt von OneT... Dieser Stuhl ist deutlich hochwertiger. In Kombination mit unseren Schaffellen auch bei kalter Witterung sehr gemütlich. Bei Angebotspreisen zuschlagen!
