Does it works for cats ?

It really depends to the cat. If your cat is a dependent cat and would beg you for a treat, it will definitely work. I foster cats and I had a few of them. I trained a cat to do high fives in 3 days! but the other cat doesn't actually care about the treat to be interested. Watch some videos on youtube. They may need more time but it is so fun actually!

Does this work for cats?

Yes. It works great for my cat. If it's a little to loud for your cat you can always cup your hand around it to muffle some the sound.

Do both have the same click sound or tone?

Yes, they sound the same. We use ours to train our cat.

I am going to try this for my dog who is tone deaf and can onlyhear me clap and cluck. I want to use it for recall. Does anyone know the sound range ?

I can’t speak for your dog but my wife and I have two German Shepherd puppies. We live on a ranch in the middle of nowhere so there isn’t a lot of extraneous noises around. Aside from occasional wildlife making noise it’s pretty quite around here. That said our puppies (now four months old) have wandered as far away as a quarter of a mile. When we click the clickers they come running. We love the clickers. Don’t know how well they’d work in the city but the clickers are pretty loud. Hope this helps.
