There are so many negative reviews which are absolutely incorrect. This product is exactly as described and advertised. Most importantly. There is No sticky glue! You simply very carefully remove a ultra thin clear plastic film from the back side of each carpet step and press firmly into position on your step. This produces of a partial vacuum by the removal of air in order to cause adhesion to a smooth surface. They are easily lifted to reposition if necessary with NO glue mess whatsoever!! As for the quality, it’s perfect as a stair step as, if it were any thicker, you could trip on it. The pattern I chose as exactly what I as looking for and I think they look great. The process of installing all steps took one hour and my dog looked on in glee as there had been a problem with her paws slipping on the wood surface.The two things that I wish were different are, the width of the carpet is 26 inches, and 30 inches would have been ideal fo me. The second point is that I can not find any carpets for the stair landing to complete “the look”.By all means buy with confidence … my carpet steps were delivered in three days, … typical of everything I buy from Amazon !!!!

I love the color & substantial rug fabric of these stair pads. They are advertised as self-sticking, but they really aren't. We tacked ours down, 2 tacks on back side and 2 in front. Looking at them from top of stairs or bottom, they are stunning. I wanted very visible stair pads since seeing end of staircase with brown ones I first bought were so dark I couldn't tell when I was to bottom of stairs, and I almost fell. I still say every time I go up or down--to may husband's amusement--I love these classy stair pads. They fit our 100-year-old house's decor and ambience perfectly.

I ordered these stair treads on April 29 and did not receive them until June 21. I opened the box to find that they had been totally falsely advertised - there was ABSOLUTELY NO NON-SKID RUBBER BACKING - only slippery plastic. I looked to find a solution to try to make them work so that we didn't slip down the stairs on them, but after a week of looking for a retrofit I gave up. I went to return them only to learn that the return window had closed on June 27 - only 6 days after I got them. This supplier and Amazon should be ashamed of themselves - now I'm out almost $140 for something that will end up in the garbage.

These are VERY pretty and a nice quality. They aren't a longer cut of carpet which I like better because they are easier to clean and don't get as dirty as the ones that have a longer cut. I have a bunch of cats and they haven't offered to use these for sharpening their claws like they did the other ones that had the longer cut. These have a good adhesive backing on them and I didn't have to use tape or anything to keep them from slipping. The only thing that I initially did not like was the lip on the front. Seemed very awkward but after they have been there for awhile, i'm starting to like it and it definitely keeps the front of your stairs from being scarred up. There's also enough in the shipment to have extras when needed. Good product for sure. Very elegant looking!!

I’ve had cheaper stair treads in the past, and these are excellent quality. I really like that it has a lip to go over the front of the tread. I got the brown ones and they are perfect. I really wish I could buy singles though as I had to by two sets for 15 steps.

I was very happy when these came in-they are really beautiful and perfect for our needs. There is a clear plastic over the white vinyl that covers the adhesive, you must remove and it can be a bit tricky at first to find just the right way but nothing difficult. I did have to pull up the original order info to find exactly how the covering was when it arrived but they are very clear about this. I was aware of the long wait time for shipping when I placed the order but it came earlier then stated. The price is amazing for the quality of these stair carpets. It was really worth the wait-just so beautiful. It is very thick and wonderful for our feet now. Our little dogs are now eager to go up and down the stairs when before we had to always carry them (5 and 8 lb chihuahuas). This is a wonderful plus to us.
