A Favorite Of All Fish In Both Our Fish Ponds
In my large pond I am trying to get some size to the little Albino Channel Catfish that I had received a total of six from 2 to 3 inches in length last year. They were so small they hid from the koi in the two bog garden tubs that I had used to get them to grow. This year I put them in the large pond so they had more room to hide. So then I bought one Cobalt Aquatics Sinking Shrimp Pellet 8lb container to see if I could get them to grow. Wow did they ever grow. They now have grown to a size between six to eight inches. I have to put the floating koi food in the pond first to get the koi to eat and wait a few minutes before putting the Cobalt Pellets in for the Albino Channel Catfish to eat. Talk about churning water as all the fish in both the bog garden tubs and both ponds love this food. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the Cobalt Aquatics Sinking Shrimp Pellets.

Fish are pleasantly surprised!
After the shortage of Wardley I needed another shrimp pellet alternative. Well we found it! Cobalt Aquatics Shrimp Pellets are a huge hit in both our fish aquariums!

A Delightful Treat
Cobalt Aquatic Shrimp Pellets is a great addition to compliment a complete diet of other Cobalt fish foods. What I love about this item is that the pellets provide a nutritional diet for optimal health, color, and great digestion. After months of using this product, I decided to purchase the item in bulk - 8lbs instead of ordering another 10.75 oz since I have over 24 aquariums. What I noticed about the food is that is the quality is exquisite; however, according to experts, it is not recommended for the only solution to your fish's diet. Since the food lacks the necessary proteins, fat, fibers, and vitamins for a healthy and balanced meal. Instead, the product should be used for treats and in between meals. Personally - my fish go crazy whenever I dropped these pellets in, more so, than frozen cubes of plankton, bloodworms, or shrimp. The Shrimp Pellets contain no trace of shrimp meal or shrimp by-products since for decades pellets were advertised as shrimp pellets. They were advertised this way because it was more appealing than calling them "sinking pellets or food that goes down." The shrimp pellets are ideal for shrimp, crayfish, freshwater crabs, medium and large tropical fish, and bottom feeders. The pellets do not cloud the water and do not contain any unhealthy chemicals. The ingredients listed are completely safe and healthy for any type of fish.In conclusion, I extremely recommend purchasing Cobalt Aquatic shrimp pellets. They sink to the bottom - nutritious and do not cloud the water. There is nothing more you could want with these pellets. Additionally, the pale has a handle for easy transportation - if you are intimidated by the size. One last thing, a tip that I recommend is only feeding your fish the size of his eyeball - this allows you to gauge how big his stomach is.

Poor Shipping Standards
Placed first time order. The pellets come in a flimsy, soft plastic bucket. The shipper laid the bucket on its side in a too small box with insufficient height which when they closed the top of the box must have applied pressure around the top circumference of the bucket (laying on its side) causing the thin, cheap plastic lid to come loose despite the removable plastic strip meant to create a seal before opening, not even having been pulled off yet. When I picked up the shipping box at my front door, the very small pellets were leaking out of the shipping box everywhere. Carefully opened shipping box and poured the pellets back into the bucket which ended up less than half full. Weighed it and was approx. 750 grams out of what the bucket label indicates should be 1644 grams (58oz).Called Amazon, no trouble getting a replacement sent, no cost to me, no need to return the damaged, half empty one.New shipment arrived in larger shipping box. No damage to box, but picked it up and my front door and again pellets began to leak all over the ground. Carefully opened the shipping box and once again the plastic stripe that seals the lid to the top of the bucket until pealed off was still intact, but the flimsy lid was loose anyway and 2/3s of the pellets where sitting in the bottom of the shipping box. Weighed it, and was once again less than the full amount it should have been (some of which must have been lost during shipping from leaking). Only reason I did not call Amazon a second time to complain was because the two COMBINED shipments when weighted was just about equal to a single full order.Won't purchase this one again in the future, will try something else.

buyer beware!!
this product contains no shrimp.none at all. but it's called 'shrimp pellets'. what? my fish won't touch it. falsely/misleadingly labeled. don't waste your money when there are far better products around! loooong time aquarist, fish farmer, both hobby and pro, fresh and salt. stay away from this stuff, it's awful and fraudulently labeled!

Not flakes-pellets
It's important to know these are pellets and not flakes. Cobalt stopped making the pellets I used previously so I was scrambling to find replacements for my catfish. They really like these but I can tell they don't go as crazy for these as they did for the other ones.

Amazing value
It took my fish a few days to warm up to the change in food, but now everyone happily eats it. Saves me a ton because just the three pacu eat an entire handful a day.Approved by: oscars, pacu, silver dollars, mbuna, convicts, rams, bumblebees, KNIFE FISH! Overall fan favorite.Hates it: my severums. Won’t touch it lolAlsoA+ for sinkibility because none of my fish like to eat floating food.
