Ruby Charm Colors Insectimaginary: An Adult Coloring Art Journal Paperback – May 9, 2019

Charming, beautiful art. I am not normally an “insect” person but this artist makes them all so cute! The journal combined with the adorable illustrations is a plus plus.

As I have written above, I love the creative Insect artwork in this coloring book. I actually have EVERY book Susan has printed, as well as every "Artist Version" on her Etsy shop, including white, grey, and black collections on the larger thick card-stock. I am a huge fan, and admire her drawing capabilities. I also want to share another coloring book I found here on Amazon that also has a beautiful collection of insect artwork that was published by a Polish company; "Wonderful Insects" by Emma Hulten (Swedish scientist?) a scientist if I understand correctly, in 2016. It is still available now in November 2020. *I do NOT know or have any connection to the artist or publisher, but I held back from buying it for 4 years, mostly as I love the RubyCharms artwork and it felt disloyal in a way. It has accurate insects drawings but doesn't look like a dry scientific tome on life cycles of insects. Lovely drawings on nice quality paper. I share this now as I am a known addict of RubyCharms art, all of the creative and quality paper, and eagerly check for new artwork. I feel that we should give a shout-out to other artists who have created quality art in a well published book. The books are different styles, they are BOTH great, I would hope that all of us coloring fans have room in our hearts for more.

Im in heaven!!!! Susan Carlson has become my favorite coloring book artist. I think because her art is a cross (to me) of fantasy and reality. The more color you add to one of her beautiful pieces, the better it becomes.Today I received her latest book; Ruby Charms colors insectimaginary. I absolutely love to color six legged critters, and this is probably my favorite book of "critters" to date. I've only had my hot little hands on this book long enough to page through it ( my mail carrier just dropped it on my porch). I can hardly wait to pigment to paper!!!!As the title of the book suggests, this book is about the most beautiful elegant imaginary insects you could ever find! Because I haven't yet had a chance to color any of these beauties, it will be several days before I post any pictures. But I will say this, if you love color, a little challenge, you will absolutely go crazy over any of Susan Carlson's books. There are four in total now, and if you aren't already a fan, I would highly recommend that you pick up any them. Each is significantly individual, yet every single page can easily be recognized as one of Ms. Carlson's gorgeous pieces. Go ahead and buy this book, you won't be disappointed!Have a blessed day and color on!

This is such a fun book, so many illustrations to color and plenty of black sheets in the book. It's obvious Susan put alot of time into this book.I started out using colored pencils and then went onto using Derwent Inktense. With this type of medium you need to use water to activate the ink...very little water was used. The paper did its puckering which I expected. (See pictures attached.) I will use colored pencils for the rest.This is a lovely coloring book and I would buy it again.

As with all of Susan Carlson's books, the images in this one are charming. They capture the wonderful variety of insect forms, but in a beautifully stylized way. I especially like that some of the images are reproduced on both white and black paper. I also really appreciate the inclusion of smaller elements from many of the images. These are just the right size when you have time for only a short coloring break. The author includes some coloring tips that give us beginners some ideas to keep the coloring experience interesting. The paper is fine for colored pencils and can handle watercolor pencil.

I love all of Susan’s books. Fun to color and space to add some of your own creativity to your picture. You will not be disappointed. I buy all of her books, sight unseen. This one is full of fun insects. Printed on good paper stock, plenty of space to experiment with color and take notes. Numerous pages printed on black paper so you can also enjoy the experience of coloring on black paper.

I love this book we’re have you been my In coloring life!!! Now that I got this I am able to keep track of all of my coloring supply’s, coloring books,YouTube channel, if it’s to do with coloring supply you can track i love all of the very beautiful coloring pages too I love how I can put tabs on it and categorize and organize I would recommend all of my kind friend I also have all of her other books too amazing work !!🥳

Just like the oceanimaginary, the artwork is awesome. The fact that the pictures are not on one side is the drawback. Buy either of these books...you'll love the art. My preference is one sided pages. I can get over the double sided pages. The smaller images in are great for experimenting with colors & mediums. You won't be disappointed. Love them. Oh yeah, there is an intro to the books with ideas of different mediums for coloring & enhancing. You will not be disappointed. Happy coloring!!!

WOW que dire de plus les dessins sont magnifiques je ne regrette rien je l'adore

Ein wunderbares dickes Malbuch. Wichtig ist mir, dass die ganzseitigen Bilder nicht abgeschnitten wurden,wie das häufig bei anderen Malbüchern vorkommt. Bildwiederholungen und Ausschnitte für Variationen sind ebenfalls hilfreich. Aber das aller wichtigste die großen Bilder sind komplett. Sehr schöne detailreiche Zeichnungen mit vielen Schnörkeln und Beiwerk.Empfehlenswert für geduldiges Ausmalen.

El papel podría tener más calidad. Los dibujos preciosos y me gustan las páginas para ensayar colores.

I just adore RubyCharm colouring books and this new one is to die for. So many gorgeous illustrations done by an extremely talented lady. Plus room to write and colour swatches too. If you love colouring and love interesting designs then this book is for you.

I love all Susan Carlson books. Great for keeping all your colouring notes in. Also comes with some very nice colouring pages.
