We have been very pleased with this patio insert doggie door. Our dogs fly in and out of it and it stays firmly in place. It was easily installed.

Super easy to install

The media could not be loaded. Excellent product. The magnetic flap closure is strong, which is good for weather proofing, but it took my dogs a little longer to get used to than our past doggie door. It’s cold outside now but this door is keeping it at bay. The lock provided was too small for our slider track but we easily got another at a local hardware store.

Excellent quality. Looks great. Took a little encouragement to get my family's dogs (a senior 17 lb terrier and a 28 lb terrier) to go through it the first few days, but once they got the hang of it, the've been using it non-stop without any problems. We tried fresh chicken/meat, etc., which did not help at all (one of the dogs is incredibly stubborn and does not like new things - it was just a matter of him watching the other dogs go through it for a few days, and then he started to use it on his own). One tip: removing the magnet at the bottom of the flap helped make it a little easier to push open for them as they learned (we had to push it partially open for them for a day). My own 21 lb rat terrier was familiar with dog doors and loved it from the first try. Highly recommend.

Was going to return but by the time I arrived home my husband had drilled holes in the dog door frame and our sliding glass door frame to stabilize. The instructions are confusing, the screws on the bottom panels were stripped out, holding together with duct tape now, measured as instructed and was still had to assemble in 2 pieces to fit inside frame. The top and bottom pieces are held together by a bar with 4 screws, 2 for top piece and 2 for bottom piece, the screws do not fit tightly so this is area of weakness in the frame. With 80 pound dog going in and out it began to bend and become unevenly matched. You guessed it, more duct tape added. Applied weather stripping because of gap between sliding door and dog door frame and the stripping constantly came loose, you guessed it, more duct tape. If we have to remove the dog door to prepare for a hurricane it will be useless. Don't waste your money. If you do buy go to hardware store or purchase duct tape from Amazon because you are going to needed it. Even if it worked perfectly it is WAY over priced and 2 small dogs will not use it because the noise the flap makes is loud enough to wake you up from a deep sleep.

Quality on this is amazing! Much better than any other pet flap I have gotten and there have been many. I had a handyman install and it is permanently fixed on to the stationary panel of glass with MANY screws and it is very secure. It would not be possible to kick this door in and I do not feel it reduces the security of the home in any way, actually I believe it increases it since now the big door can be closed and the pets can still visit the outside.The pet flap itself is a bit heavy, but would stand up to winter snows and blustery breezes.. it comes with an adaptor to keep the pet flap open but I am a mean lady and make my fur babies work to escape the house.. or to rejoin my company!

Nice, First check the level of the jam, then the sliding door, install the panel and match the sliding door. Drill some small holes on the door jam and put in screws to make the panel solid. Our door has a clip on the jam side and I moved it to the left side of the panel, and now the door locks.
