KOHLER K-99012-NA Verdera Side Mirror Kit for Surface Mount Installation

Needed for wall mounted medicine cabinet. Expensive.

First of all, thank you Amazon for getting this to me lightning fast. I can't believe they arrived the day after I ordered them.I thought these would be a piece of cake to install but it took me longer than expected. It was next to impossible to get the screws into the side panels for two reasons. The hole to install is at the back of the medicine cabinet (about an inch from the back panel) so the angle to insert the screw is touchy and I can't even imagine how hard it would be with a man-sized hand.The screw holes in the brackets on the panels are punched into the metal and are super tight. Take my advice and thread the screws in and out a couple of times before installing the panel so you open the space a little bit. Otherwise you're going to be dropping expletives as you struggle to get the screw in with your hand bumping against the back of the cabinet. In the photo I attached you can see a clearish plastic cup over the screw. These are super tight and also take finesse to get them angled properly on the screw so they push on. It was possibly more frustrating because it looked like it should have been so easy.These look nice but I think they are pretty expensive for what they are. Amazon had the best price and lighting fast shipping.

When I planned to gut and rebuild the bathroom, I bought the Kohler medicine cabinet at bLowes, and the KID working there neglected to inform us that you need these side pieces for a surface mount. Didn't help that bLowes had the mirror on display with side pieces that didn't come with it, nor did the information on the tag state about the need for these.Forward to the week before Christmas and my contractor opens the box and, no side panels. In a panic to get the bathroom finished before Christmas (as planned), I order these off Amazon. And they came the very next day. Which made the contractor happy because he could finish the job before Christmas, which made his wife happy, which made his kid happy, and it made my wife and I happy (and YOU get a Happy and YOU get a Happy, EVERYONE gets Happy!!!).Beautiful sides to a beautiful cabinet. Thank you for getting it to me in one day, it really made Christmas great for everyone. Except bLowes, they get a truckload of coal.

The kit fits perfectly on the medicine chest and very easy to install. The only problem is the price. After paying over $700 for the cabinet, I had to kick in another $ 90+ for the trim kit, because I was unable to recess the cabinet. These really should be included with the unit.

Worked well to give a finished edge to our new Verdera medicine cabinet. Easy to install, but you MUST thread the piece that fits on the screw first! Do this by screwing in the screw 1st before you try to put it on to your medicine cabinet. Unscrew it...then it's ready for install.

Beautiful and functional. It's heavy because all surfaces are covered with mirrors. Be sure you purchase separately the mirrors for the left and right sides if mounted on wall, not in the wall. It's expensive but worth it.

They work to complete the side of the cabinet but $100 seems a lot for two mirrors 30x4inch.

C'est indécent de demander ce prix pour cet article. Deux petits bouts de miroir, des brackets et 4 vis. J'avais besoin de deux ensembles. Je n'aurai jamais 400$ plus taxes de plaisir dans ma vie avec ces bouts de miroir.
