fabulous pandeiro, another one I love is the lp pandeiro with the black head, that's also a really wonderful instrument. BUT!!!!! it is still heavy and a bit challenging to use, so I highly recommend splurging on the Remo one with the holey-y brass jingles:[...]be sure to get the brass jingles one, my pandeiro teacher's pandeiro teacher designed them and I'm told they are the best american made pandeiro available. I literally can't put mine down and it's much lighter!!!

Nice finish and good overall quality, however the non standard size tuning key that comes with it is rather cheap. If this instrument could be made with standard drum key tuning I wouldn't worry so much about losing this tuning key

The sound of this Brazilian Music Instrument is fascinating. I like what I receive. This my first pandeiro. LP is one of the best percussion line on the market with Remo, and the other percussion lines.

I bought this pandeiro kind of on an emotional whim after taking a quickie lesson with my teacher (I am mainly a caixa player) that was a result of a solicitation by a local musician who plays a lot of bossa nova and forro, baiao, etc. The one my teacher had me learn on was a super heavy Contemporanea beast with a plastic head... I hated that pandeiro and couldn't hold it for more than 30 seconds without it slipping out of my grip. In general my ears like skin heads, although I recognize that some genres call for synthetic and some call for natural... but my hands and my ears like what they like. I went and grabbed this because it was immediately available to me at J&R. I was reluctant because I am also the very unfortunate owner of an LP caixa, which is the most horrendous assault on a Brazilian musican's ears imaginable. What an awful excuse for a caixa, that. I removed the snares and repurposed it as a barely acceptable repinique, and I bought an actual Brazilian (Artcelsior) caixa as soon as I was able to, and it's beautiful and 180-degrees different from the LP one. So because of that incident I was incredibly shocked when I discovered how light in my hands and beautifully toned this pandeiro was. I am not an experienced pandeiro player but I am an experienced listener and I know what tones need to come out of an instrument, and I am quite adept at figuring out how to get them. And this instrument performs better than I'd ever have hoped coming from a company that produced that atrocity they call a "caixa" (although I admit their congas are super gorgeous). I recommend this to ANYONE, especially beginners. BUT... of course as you will want to do with many pandeiros, tape the underside in a box formation with an X inside, to emit the excessive harmonic overtones.

Non mi riferisco al prodotto in sè, perché non mi è mai arrivato. C'è stato un problema di consegna (lo spedizioniere era della ditta venditrice e non di Amazon), metto una stella sola perché il servizio di assistenza clienti di Rich Tone Music non mi ha seguito bene. Se si fossero preoccupati di seguire la cosa in tempo utile avrei ricevuto il pandeiro, che doveva essere un regalo di natale. Gentili nelle loro risposte ma tardivi e inefficaci. Sono molto felice invece di aver ricevuto velocemente il rimborso da Amazon a seguito del mio reclamo. Rich Tone Music mi ha poi offerto uno sconticino se avessi voluto ripetere l'acquisto ma ho preferito chiudere la storia e cercare altro, anche perché ormai era arrivata la Befana.... L'ordine l'avevo fatto il 3 dicembre.

This pandiero has a beautiful soft tone and the cymbals are not shrill. It is perfect for using in the home when my son is doing his capoeira. It is a quality product for a reasonable price
