A Must Have For Writers
I won my first copy of this along with many other books on style and law during my first week of law school. Due to an unfortunate incident, all of my belongings were destroyed. When I was finally able to start buying some items to replace those I lost, this was the first book I asked for because it is so helpful and packed with information. I love it also because it is easy to use if you need to look something up that you're stuck on. I would recommend this to any writer who wants a good manual on writing in the legal style. Note: this is NOT Chicago Style Handbook. I just wanted to be clear about that. Awesome reference book and a must have for a legal writer.

Who knew you'd WANT to make you're grammar gooder?
This is the only book for 1Ls which actually has - dare I say it - a sense of humor. The author nails the spirit of "real talk" and does not complicate things. You'll wish your Bluebook was this straightforward. Even if it's not required, you should grab one. It will help guide you through those stupid Core Grammar exercises, too. It's not absolutely necessary, but it will definitely guide you in becoming a better writer, and we can only hope law students in the future will be able to study more cases, memos, and briefs in the Redbook style.

Amazing
The content of the book itself is a must have for any legal professional. Only took a star away because the spiral bound version is the most ludacrisly put together thing I have ever seen.

WONDERFUL legal style book
This is the BEST book I've found to help me with legal style. I struggle with the basics - when to use commas, semi-colons, etc. It's hard to get guidance on grammar in law school because they assume we know it now. (We should! but some of us don't.) It's an excellent companion to The Bluebook. I could not recommend it more highly. Oh! And it's got a guide on how to write without using gender-specific language, which I think is SO important in legal writing. We're making the laws that affect people's lives, it's important for our writing to be inclusive.

Great legal writing editing tool.
The prepositional paring section alone justifies the cost of this book to me. This book has saved me countless hours in the editing phase of legal writing. E.g., getting hung up on seemingly unclear phrasing or over-tinkering with layout. When in doubt, just look in the book. The rules/guidelines/best-practices break a lot of editorial ties for me and gives me confidence in my editorial choices. I think this is worth the cost because I intend to use it forever.

good
If you’re a law student, buy this. Doesn’t matter if it’s required or not. This is great. Informative, concise, and a lifesaver. Bought it for my school’s write-on competition. Saved my life.
