Nice glove and a great value for the price!
I bought this glove primarily to play catch with my son, and for using as an assistant coach for a little league team. My very old glove finally bit the dust and I decided to try the Rawlings Sandlot. It comes partially broken in, and is certainly usable right away, but still needs a little more work to really feel smooth. But isn't that the case for pretty much any decent glove?Anyway, after using it for a few days I can honestly say it has softened up nicely (I helped it along with some glove oil) and I feel very comfortable using it.Its a really great looking glove, and the 12.75" version is big, but not too big for my average size hand. The quality of the glove lacing and leather seems very good, especially at this price point. You can certainly spend $300 or more on a glove if you like, but for most purposes, this one is more than adequate. I'm quite happy with my purchase and the value for how little this glove costs is great.

A very nice glove, excellent value.
I love this glove, it feels premium, but man, the "Zero Shock" palm will give your hand a workout for quite a while. The mitt ships partially broken-in, but you're definitely going to need to put it to work to get it to the point where it is comfortable and floppy.Fun break-in routine: rub the entire glove, laces and all, with a very light coat of mink oil using a dry wash cloth. Place a ball in the pocket and wrap it as tight as you can with a boot lace. The next day, you can remove the ball, fold the glove up, and start smacking it against a door frame. I mean, beat the ever loving snot out of it. After you're tired, rub another very light coat of mink oil on the entire glove, laces and all, wait about 30 minutes, and then begin to twist the glove in ungodly ways. I'm talking about bending it in any which way you can think of. After the leather has been thoroughly tortured, tighten the laces, wrap it again (as tight as you can get it) with a boot lace for another day or so. After all that has been done, your glove should be pretty much acceptable.Play catch to break it in further and remember to have fun. It's just a game after all.

Buy it and don’t look back.
Excellent glove!Performance- Used in a coed ASA softball league and it performed beautifully! I can see this glove performing well all the way up to lower division college Baseball and all levels of softball. It broke in right away. After a few games you need will need to tighten it.Cosmetics- absolutely stunning!Comfort - I used two fingers in the pinky slot, with index finger outside the slot. With this grip I experienced no stings. If you do like to place your index finger in the slot, then you may need a batting glove if playing baseball at an advance level. In my opinion this glove is a better value than a Wilson a1000. The Rawlings is ready to go straight from the box while the a1000 needs a break in period of about a week. This glove is a must buy for the price, performance, Quality and Looks.

Nice backyard glove
I got the 12 3/4 glove for backyard catch because the style reminds me of a glove I had as a kid. The leather and stitching are about medium quality and the palm and fingers are nicely padded. The fit is as expected and while not 90% broken in as claimed it should loosen up after a few weeks.Update: just finished up a season of Spring and Fall little league with the kid and the glove is breaking in nicely. I have been using saddle soap to keep it clean and soften the leather. This glove should definitely last a few years with proper care.

good leather; use out of the box for teens or average size adults.
I needed a catcher's mitt because my 11 year old son now pitches with a stinging velocity. My cheap infielder's glove wasn't providing enough padding.I have almost precisely zero experience in using a catcher's mitt. In fact, the last rare occasion was almost 17 years prior. My point is, I didn't expect myself to field like Johnny Bench. But the glove was usable on arrival, almost completely broken in, as advertised. I was immediately able to make passable use of it. For the record, my 11 year old son felt it was not usable for him at that stage. He was uncomfortable squeezing it, and I'm sure it's about his hand size. Still, the whole point is that he's the one pitching, so that wasn't a disappointment, just a sizing note. This size fits better to the needs of teens or average size adults. Professionally, I wear medical gloves on a daily basis: I use the "large" size which is average for adult men and it fits nicely. I've got shorter fingers, but wide palms. The leather feels nice. There was one small blemish in the pocket that would have been disappointing if I had ordered it for a gift, but it cleaned up nicely with some generic leather conditioner (y'know the kind that comes in a shoe polish can). But a gift wasn't my goal; I needed it for catching sinkers right away. And it worked for that.

Great glove
Absolutely great ball glove for the money. I don’t ever see a need for a glove that cost more that 100$. Unless you’re a pro and don’t care about throwing money on a glove. I have been playing baseball for 25 years. Youth ball all the way through Division 1 college ball. This glove will last many seasons. I promise. Rawlings is hard to beat. And I’m not sure why some people don’t think this glove is not pre broken in. They must have never owned an expensive glove like an A2000. Those are like rocks when you first get them. This glove is comfortable and ready to go right out of the box.

Great glove, could be more comfortable
I purchased this glove for my husband, and it came in great shape. The leather is nice, and this glove is great for my husband to play baseball with our boys. Overall, this is a great glove. One thing I think is that this glove could be a little more comfortable. The strings dig a little into your hands, but really, that’s about the only issue. The design is awesome, and this glove has held up a while.

Looks great, stiff but will work great when fully broken in.
Fast delivery and came in good condition. Looks great but it’s a bit on the stiff side so will take some time to break in (I also oiled the glove which should help). Should work just fine when fully broken in. Will be used by my 11 year old.

Very well made from a top usa make. Imported free and no import duty from amazon
Nothing to dislike .looks great .extremely well made. Great for catching. Shame they don't do a left handed thrower version (ie glove for right hand) but don't seem to make these anywhere

It's a nice glove for the price.
It's a nice glove (not what I thought I was ordering but it will do). I was trying to buy a "First base mit" but an "infield" glove turned up but the quality is good so I didn't send it back. The description is confusing as it says "ambidextrous" (which any baseball player will know that's a croc of nonsense) but I just bought it anyway to see what turned up. Rawlings make good products and for the price I think it is good value. The seller needs to sort their act out a bit more that's all.
