MG (Shire Library)

Not as much information on the different models and years that I expected.

I purchased this as a gift for my father, a MG owner and enthusiast. He enjoyed this book, especially the pages about his model.

Great Book!

Thoroughly enjoyable.

This is a typical Shire Library book. It has only 56 pages but has plenty of pictures, many in colour, that provide a good overview of the history of MG. It's good value for the minimal cost and I recommend it for a reader who's not familiar with the brand and who would like a synopsis of where it began and how it got to be the best known sports car in the world.

A good introduction to the history of the MG marque. Lots of factual information, nice illustrations of all the iconic models. I would have liked more narrative history of the cars as well as the factual data, but it's only a short introduction. I was sorry some models got only a very brief mention, such as the MG Magnette Farina, a classic from the 60s. Something that surprised me was that MG, considering how long they have been going, how popular they are, how many cars they have sold, have produced such a small number of different models over the years - which just shows how they must have got it right in the first place!

Within the space available the author covers the history very well. My preference would be for more coverage of the early history of the true MG, the marque made a very large impact in its early years.

Kleine aber feine Lektüre über diese sehr erfolgreiche Marke.Es gibt viele Bücher über MG, aber dieses kleine Werk sticht trotzdem heraus....;-)

Es kam sehr gut bei einem MG fan an. es ist ein Buch über die ganze Geschichte von der Firma und war gut zu lesen.
