Totally Captivated Volume 2 (Totally Captivated, 2)

I still can't say enough good things about this series. I LOVE Totally Captivated. I've reread the series at least three times since I bought it about a month ago. This is the review for Totally Captivated volume 2.Ewon is a 23 year old college student and Mookyul is his super hot and vicious gangster boss. Book 2 returns us to the story right where book one left off. Ewon is in the bathroom checking out the bite marks inflicted by a drunken (and now passed out) Mookyul. That's when he runs into Byungsoo, a homophobic jerk who also works for Mookyul. Byungsoo convinces Ewon to let him handle the Boss' bank account so that he can "borrow" some money without anyone knowing about it. Ewon reluctantly agrees and that's where all the trouble starts again. Add to that a run in with the Big Boss who has a suspiciously close relationship with Mookyul and a surprise from the past and you've got the plot of book 2. In book one Ewon started wondering why Mookyul seemed familiar to him. This is when we find out why that is. The surprise gave me a good chuckle. It's also strangely touching and added a nice depth to Mookyul's otherwise fierce character. Book 2 also steps up Mookyul's pursuit of Ewon. Their arguments alone are worth the price of the book.A word of warning as well, there aren't any "smutty" parts in book 2 but that was fine with me. There is an emphasis on character development and plot instead. The dialogue is lively and engaging especially between Mookyul and Ewon. I love all of the characters even the minor ones. The art is consistently good. The men are beautiful without being girly and they are easily told apart. The humor and back story is much appreciated. There is also a healthy sprinkling of super deformed illustrations which are definitely suited to Ewon's bubbly (but still manly) personality. Ewon is definitely no whining, crying girly man. He may be fun and perky but he can hold his own even in the increased violence of book 2.Oh and once again please note that this is a Korean manhwa so it reads from left to right. It's not Japanese style right/left.

Took me a while to get use to this as Vol 1 did because it starts at the front of the book.I lent this to my friend and they were confused as to who is talking becuase there is not marking as to whose line is it.But I got used to it and and have no problem with it.In this book the characters are still developing, plot slowly thickens and the relationship between the 2 main charcater are starting to get connected, as a BL manga does.There are no sex scenes in this volume.I do enjoy reading this series .Illustration wise.The guys just look too young , high school age.But I do enjoy the emotions drawn.

This is one crude and intriguing manga with a good amount of humor. I love this gangster M/M storyline. Can’t wait to see where this goes next.

Only bought this one so far but need to buy the other volumes to fully grasp the storyline but it is interesting so far

Ewon and Mookyul's relationship is getting closer. In this volume you come to understand why Mookyul likes Ewon. This is a great series for those that love "bad" boys!

I can't stop reading it! The romance is so to the point and very good! I wish more talk were like this one!!

I love Hajin Yoo's works but this one is by far my favorite. Her art is stunning and the story is great. Ewon is such a great character and I love watching him evolve and grow up as his relationship with Mookyul changes.

Totally Captivated is one of my all time FAVORITE manga! Definitely a great purchase! Cant wait to get the rest of the series! Only one left to go!

Totally Captivated ist ein netter Shonen Ai Manhwa, die koreanische zeichnerin gibt sich sehr viel Mühe und vor allem bei den SD Zeichnungen klappt es echt gut, allerdings ist es vom Zeichenstil nicht mein Favorit (schon dagewesen - hauptsächlich nur Gesichter im Panel).Ich finde den Manhwa aber sehr witzig und habe ihn gerne gelesen, ist mit Band 6 abgeschlossen. Bis jetzt nur auf englisch.

I'm totally captivated by this manhwa. One of my favourite boy love / yaoi mangas. The story line is so good and the arts as well. Got it earlier than expected!
