Thorogood American Heritage 8” Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boots for Men Made from Premium Leather with Slip-Resistant Wedge Outsole and Comfort Insole; EH Rated

These were comfortable straight out of the box(I've heard they run narrow, but my feet aren't wide, so it doesn't affect me.) The liner is truly waterproof, as ive worn these boots in standing water, and the sole has nice cushion, so my feet aren't aching at the end of a long work day. Since it's non-metallic carbon toe, they're doing well in the winter, too, with just a pair of wool socks. Tuff toe is a must if you do a lot of work crouching, but that's the only thing I'd consider a complaint.

Right out of the box the fit was almost pefect, very lightweight and comfortable with the composite toe. Fresh out the box when new you can see some of the excess brown stain from when they were given there last coat of stain and polished at the factory on the top white trim portion which I thought was really cool and rubbed off after a couple days anyway. The leather materials and quality of construction gave these boots almost a handmade feel like you ordered them from a custom cobbler. I'm back writing this review after a solid year of hard abuse and work that was performed in these boots not to retire these but to order another pair to give my current pair a few days off a week and work in the next pair. I've owned those junk Chinese red wings,Timberland pro's, wolverines and many other work boots in the past and none of them compare to these handmade American quality. Well worth the money and they don't hurt my back walking in them once they are worn in!

I’ve been wearing these boots for years I have them resoled ever year . I clean them and oil them all the time , and get about 6 years out of a pair . Working on heavy construction jobs like hospitals and airports I need good boots and these are the best out there . I’m on my feet 16 hours a day and do from 12,000 to 18,000 steps a day and my feet don’t hurt at all . Yes there a little pricey but my feet don’t hurt at all I’m always dry and warm . It’s money well spent.

These are well crafted boots, unfortunately I had to return them because the toe box was far too narrow, I ordered wide but it didn’t do the trick, if you have a wide foot, go try these at a store before buying.

Great pair of boots. I switched over from readings and I’m very pleased this far. I just hope they last like redwings. I work 7 days a week 8-12 hour days and they are very comfortable and light weight

I have worked in just about every condition imaginable and tried out about every brand of boot. These are hands down the most comfortable! I don’t feel like I’m wearing a boot, more like slippers that tie on. My only complaints would be the quick lace hooks are really small and the tongue, since it’s stitched all the way up tends to bunch up on the top of the foot. I’m sure after a while with some use that’ll settle down. I don’t feel like I need to kick them off the second I walk in the door and am very happy with my purchase. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is there’s a couple changes I would make changes to, “The hooks, tongue” but that’s pretty small.

Right off the bat these boots are awesome! Happy to finally have a waterproof pair of Thorogood boots. My other pair of Thorogoods are The 6" moc toe 804-4200 which I also gladly recommend but it's a bummer cause I can't wear them in rain/snowy weather. Glad I went with the 8" I can stand in some pretty deep puddles and snow and my feet still stay dry. I'm sure through any MA weather these Thorogood boots will keep my feet happy and dry. On a side note, I've owned Chippewas, Carolinas, and for the last couple years I've been wearing Red Wings. To me Thorogood has been the best brand of boot yet. The quality is unlike no other and the price of these USA made boots in un beatable. I did enjoy my red wings but after a few months of working as a pipe fitter they started to wear out fast and become uncomfortable. After one rainy day of work in my water proof Red Wings I had for a few months and my feet were completely soaked I've looked the other way and glad to come across Thorogood. Hoped this review has helped any future buyers, any style of Thorogood you can't go wrong but I certainly do recommend these!

First time buying this style and not happy. I love thorogood boots and buy them regularly however not this style. Feels like a lump runs along the pads of my feet. I never have had sore feet in either moc or safety toe. I work usually 10’s but sometimes 14 and never had an issue. I guess my fault for changing it up but wanted a smooth toe style for welding and gouging. The sole is also coming completely unglued. Not sure if got a Friday boot or what but I bought on amazon unfortunately and I don’t think the warranty works the same as buying from union pro. Love the brand but absolutely hate these boots. Grrrrr 500$ down the drain
