So far so good fit husqvarna Briggs engine with bad compression release

Had about 20 starts after installing this. So far been real good. 👍

I have a 2015ish Craftsman riding lawn mower with a 19HP Briggs and Stratton. Had the engine flood from the carb fule shut-off failing and then hydrolocking the engine. This was a way more afordable option then the factory parts. The gasket was a little thicker then spec at .019 and the spec is .015, but that should still be fine. Fired right up and runs like new.

Had everything that I needed for the repair.

Perfect fit but not easy to install unless you have some mechanical experience.

It came fast easy to put in but after 1.30hr it blew apart damaged the rod connector so now I have. To get more new art don't by this part

I had to press the Sprocket down on the shaft about 1/8 of an inch, you can see the compression release pin barely holding on the cam lobe, then you can see after adjustment. Also shown is a side by side where you can see the height difference. I still have no complaint. Briggs already completely blew it. I will do 10 camshafts over the years to spite them and never by another Briggs

I chose to go aftermarket for the simple reason that this part has the same possibility of failure as the original. Why pay three times more ? It has worked great all summer for me.
