Introduction to World Philosophy: A Multicultural Reader

Great summaries.
Got this used with heavily written and highlighted notes throughout the book but it's what I would have done so no complaints. The brief history of each section with a basic summary from the translated philosophies are done well, at least for what I need for my class.

It includes varied information. It is perfect to have a wide perspective of world philosophy. It includes just about enough information about many authors and trends.

Very Inclusive Content
This is a nicely inclusive collection of philosophical material from a variety of world sources and with a good eye toward gender representation, organized by topic. If that sounds like something that should go without saying, you haven't looked very critically at most philosophy source textbooks. At least one thing needs refining in future editions, however. The romanization of Chinese names and terms is inconsistent throughout, sometimes mixing Pinyin and Wade-Giles. That's an easy fix, so I hope it gets done.Enjoy.
