Not tight and not lose these are a very normal fitting shorts I think just the right amount of room around the leg openings

Well, they're shorts, so half your leg is bare. As to the fabric itself, it is a thin fleece. If they were sweatpants they would not be warm.

I wear regular size but these shorts fit to size and I have no reason to believe that it would be different for a larger size. These are among my favorites in shorts.
