JS Fitness resistance bands are a great way to get back started exercising if its been a while, if you're just getting started or you just can't make it to the gym.

Got these after the old ones I have broke after ten years or so. This is the second pair I have owned so my review is limited to my experience with the other set (which I cannot remember the place of sale or brand)The Good:The bands have nice gradation to them.The carabiner style clips are a nice idea.The bag and accessories are also great.Price is right.Grips are wide enough so the straps are not rubbing your hands.The mediocre:The bands seem pretty generic. My last pair lasted 10 years and nothing about these makes me think they will last any less but there is also nothing amazing about them. But, hey, they are resistance bands. I guess there is only so much you can do with them and maybe some of the other companies that claim to have advanced tech in theirs are just engaging in marketing gymnastics.The bad:The grip material is inadequate. Very soft, which some people may like, but soft to the point where it does not hold form on the grip core. I can see these getting compressed over time and sliding around or even decaying and crumbling off. I can't say for certain how they will hold up over time but the generic brand grips I had on my other set were much more solid. The last thing I want to feel with a set of work out equipment is that I have to be delicate with it so it won't break. I would use the old grips but my dog got at the foam and half of one of the grips is gone. Replacement grips go for about ten to fifteen dollars which offsets the price on these. I really wish they would have just charged a buck or two more and put better foam on there.

Nothing to major to complain about
I purchased this for my wife to use while doing p90x3 workouts. She likes them very much. It gives her a good variety of resistance weight to use through the program. When she has to do pull down movements, she has the band looped around our power rack, instead of using the door attachment. So I cannot comment on that piece or the velcro strap pieces.So far the ones that she has used, have been durable. The quality seems very good. I don't see any deterioration in the bands, so I can say as of now, these will not be snapping or breaking anytime soon.The only (very minor) con that I can think of was the smell upon initial opening of the product. It gave off a strong chemical, rubbery scent. But after a little time, this smell was gone. No big deal, really.

How to get massive resistance from wimpy rubber bands!
So I'm a medium-bigger guy who lifts weights (200+ pound bench). Here is how to get real muscle-building resistance if you are already on the stronger side...I got these to try a way to do resistance on the couch, in hotels, at the office, in the car, I dunno... I had this vague notion that resistance bands seem lighter, more portable, and easier to deal with than my adjustable dumbbells. Other than that, I wasn't really sure what I was gonna do with them, exactly. I already have a gym membership and a pretty good home machine (Total Gym, of Chuck Norris infomercial infamy), plus the aforementioned adjustable dumbbells.So these things arrived in the mail. I unpack them and try the pictured exercises, starting with the highest-resistance band (black). It feels like nothing. I could do, like, 10,000 reps of chest-flys at this resistance. I would starve to death before reaching muscle-failure. I could burn more calories and get a better cardio workout by watching TV and breathing extra hard.Not wanting to have wasted $35, I try the obvious thing of stringing multiple bands to the handles. With all the bands connected, I feel like I'm getting a chest-fly resistance roughly similar to around, say, a 40-pound dumbbell in each hand on a flat bench. Which is probably a great resistance workout for a lot of people, but for a bigger guy, it's closer to cardio than resistance-- I'm still at pure warm-up levels, like easy 100-rep stuff. But I did notice something interesting: the resistance with stretchy-bands INCREASES the further the movement goes...This was a really interesting discovery-- any regular lifters are familiar with the phenomenon where the hardest, weakest, lift exists in the earliest range of motion: I can "bench" nearly twice as much weight if the bar is already suspended over me, and if my arms are closer to straight when starting... If I'm laying on a slight incline, with dumbbells held slightly below chest height, those "deep" presses are far more excruciating...This led to the interesting notion that these resistance-bands might be onto something, where you could really be working at the extremes of your ability throughout the entire range of an exercise, since the resistance increases with extension. But more immediately, it led me to start shortening the bands:- If you double over the bands (hook both ends on one handle, looping the band through the other handle, so that the band is doubled-over), you can get serious muscle-building resistance out of these bands. Doubling them over obviously doubles the resistance, but shortening the total length this way has an even bigger effect: you're trying to stretch twice as much rubber, that is half as long to start with, twice as far. Three or four of the heavier bands, doubled over, will easily get you to 150 lbs bench resistance.- even more, you can get insane mass-monster, gearhead resistance just by taking the handles and attaching them to some hard rubber bungee cords like these: 12pc Rubber Down Bungee Cords Just try and chest-fly three of those. I dare you.So the secret is to double up and add more bands. And/or to try some rubber bungees. You just have to get a little creative when it comes to getting the most resistance out of these bands, and you'll get a killer workout-- your muscles won't know what hit them.

Solid addition to your work out
I am very satisfied with choosing the JS Fitness Resistance Band Set. I did a lot of research and compared the vast options and selected this set. I was so happy with them that I bought a second set. Part of my decision with selecting this set was the accessories of the hand grips, ankle cuffs and the door jam to be able to use the set to it's maximum capacity with a SoloStrength total body home gym and am able to get a pretty comprehensive full body work out with the resistance bands. The bands are solid and they combine easily to increase or decrease resistance. Highly recommend.

Great product
The product arrived promptly and it was well packaged. It has not been used yet since it is a Christmas present. However, the material is well made and the grips are very soft and non-slippery. I look forward to years of use from this product. Depending on use, I may purchase a second set in order to be able to work both arms/legs at the same time.Seller communication is awesome; has sent me various emails following up on this product. You don't see that kind of customer service anymore. I will definitely be purchasing from this seller in the future. Keep up the OUTSTANDING work!!!
