ClearTV Over Air Antenna Model X-72 Includes ABC, NBC, Monterey County, CA
OVERALL: I am happy with purchase regarding price and performance. This Over-the-Air Antenna reception appears to be downgraded by weather conditions. If cloudy, antenna relocation cann solve the problem. I 1st purchased another brand with 400 radius, but reception did not include NBC or ABC (after several scans, relocation and changing range switch). After returning it, I purchase this antenna, ClearTV, Model X-72. The first channel scan, picked up NBC and ABC. I now have two ClearTV antennas (X-72) and am happy with both for local programming. The reception is as advertized on the box for Monterey County, CA. NOTE: Smart light bulbs affected reception temporarily. The downgrade in reception was probably affected when the light bulb broadcasts for connection (my guess).

Works like a charm!
Nice clear picture. I'm very happy with my reception. I have tried several antennas and this one works the best. It is very easy to use and brings in as many working channels as any others. I live in a heavily wooded area in the country and I'm lucky to get any over-the-air channels at all. My cable bill was $80 a month, basic and I only watched a few channels anyway. This antenna and the choices I have are great! And, the channels are free!

It's not magic folks, just an antenna.
We got 23 channels when we hooked up this antenna. Not too shabby, but kinda expected more since we live in a major metropolitan area (Phoenix, AZ). In all fairness, we placed it behind the TV (which is hanging on an interior wall of an apartment) so there are lots of walls between it and the broadcast towers. The manual mentions hanging it in a window to improve reception, but you would need an additional coax cable to reach if the window is more than just a few feet away from your set (it comes with a 6 foot cord attached to the antenna). Not to mention the big black square (roughly 6" x 6") in your window, which may get you fined in some condos. The thing to remember is that you will only get channels that are close to you (within about 30 miles), so if you live in a rural area this will not work. Also, the quality of the reception changes all the time, so there are times when we get so much distortion in the picture that it's impossible to watch. Amazingly, the 3 home shopping channels are always crystal clear! Overall, we're happy with it, but we're not giving up the cable just yet.

Excellent product...it really works!
I live way out in the country with the nearest big cities 40+ miles away as the crow flies. I'd tried other tv antennas (big mast outdoor antennas with rotors) and never got the clear reception or number of channels I've been able to pick up with this little square of plastic and wires. I ordered three of these, two for me, one for the boyfriend and even he was surprised at the number of channels he could get as he lives in the boonies as well. So far, 22 channels come in clear and static free. That's FREE TV! The antenna is easy to install, just plug it in the correct slot in the back of your tv, go to your menu and tune it in so it searches for signals and then you're done. I recommend this little antenna to anyone who is wanting to cut the cord to cable or satellite. Why pay for advertisements and reruns when you can watch them for free? lol

What a POS
It arrived later than stated ,,, But, that is not companies fault. The expected date is put on there by Postal Service not the company .I was told when the company gets the order they immediately send it up to be shipped out .. it is then no longer there responsibility because they shipped it ( nice little loop hole there)We open it ok lets hope this thing works hmm place it on window area ... static and then a channel come in and goes out we cant get any channels oh I bet we have to have a box to plug it into swell ,,go find the box you have hook it up to <mind you never said needed any thing else but you do you need a power converter so you can get in 5 channels of which 2 of Spanish channel / ok so would I reccommend OH heck NO ,,, In hind site I should of know objects advertised on tv more awesome on tv then they are in real life..........sad sad world we live in ,

Better Than I Expected!
We have two old tv's with converter boxes and rabbit ears. We get quite a few channels with these old sets. When all broadcasting went to HD, we bought one of the newer HD tv's,, but we had endless trouble getting stations to come in clearly. We went through 4 or 5 indoor antennas and spent a lot of money with little success. We finally found one that is mounted on the eave of the house outside the nearest window, with a line coming into the back of the tv. This worked pretty well for awhile, but in the past 6 months or so, it started dropping a lot of channels. I was dubious about getting this Clear TV X-71 after reading some of the reviews, but decided to take a chance. I placed it on the window by the tv and hooked it up. After scanning, we were getting all the channels the old tvs were getting except the Public TV (PBS) channels in our area. Unfortunately, this is one of our favorites! This antenna is much better than what we had, but it's not perfect. And the price is good--a lot cheaper than some useless ones I bought. I suppose it depends on where you use the product. We would still like to find a really good, reliable antenna.

Excellent product
Love Clear TV! This was also great price and arrived quickly with Prime. My husband brought 2 from another source and I got 2 from Amazon, so we have them in basement, living room, bedroom, and waiting to get tv for husband's garage so he can watch sports while working on a project. The channels come in very clear and we get channels we didn't even know about (11.1, 45.2, etc.) we combined this with Roku and have ditched our satellite tv. Every so often the channel cycles or has a little interference, but it clears up pretty quickly, even the basement tv comes in clearly and consistently. I saw Internet reviews complaining about the number of channels and reception, but you have to read and understand that Clear does not get all local channels and you have to take into account your location. For less then $20, it is worth a shot...we love this product and recommend it to family and friends so that maybe they will get satellite or cable out of their pocketbook.
