As a first time German Shepherd owner I was looking for information on the breed's history, specific traits, and training . This author spoke from years of first hand experience. The book covered in detail all the above. Short, easy to read chapters full of great advice.

This is a pleasantly informative read. I appreciate the frankness found throughout. I recommend anyone considering getting a GSD read this book.

I absolutely loved this book! I will be getting a German Shepherd puppy in a few days and wanted to learn more about them and how I can be the very best owner. This book is very informative in every aspect and even gives 3 different ways and methods to train your puppy for each trick or thing you are trying to teach them. He also packs some humor into it so the book is not so dry and boring. I very much recommend this book! 10/10

I was that crazy person who brought home a German shepherd without knowing what I was getting into! This book is spot on with her and her attitude, lol! It is a great insight to her breed and how to help her become the best dog she can be and how I can work around her stubbornness!

The book has pretty basic information and may be appropriate for somebody who has never had a dog or a GSD. I was hoping for a more developed and researched book.

I received the book very quickly, with plenty of time to read it, before picking out and picking up our new GSD puppy. It was a very quick read with lots of information for not only an experienced GSD owner, but, also for a first time owner!

I am so happy that we purchased this book right before we brought home a beautiful GSD. It seems that the information is spot on regarding bringing your puppy home and what to expect. And, Lord, we know that it is challenging, but facts and what to do is right here in this book that has helped us tremendously!

Great book, covers a hell of a lot about owning and caring for German shepherds, really recommend this book.
