Not bad but Not the best ... I’m a lil disappointed 😔
As a forever fan of Keisha Ervin’s work (been here since me and my boyfriend purchased every book and anthology she has written.) I feel like people just aren’t being honest. I love her work I love these characters from this series , However, this book left me unsatisfied as a reader. I felt like the story was setting you up for another story and trying to end a story at the same time. The emotion, the characters, the storyline was all there. But it was just way too long not to end literally 21 chapters of Cam and Gray acting like kids. We still didn’t get the lil brother reveal, or Gunz death why are you keeping him around for ? Cam hasn’t spoken to his father or family about anything I would think that has something to do with his healing process right ? The random reverend I kinda seen from the start when grandma and Rose were talking. Something just wasn’t right. I guess we have to wait a year or 2 if ever to find out what happens to these folks lol. I really wished their 3rd installment would have been better but . Hopefully book 4 will wrap some things up maybe push for Stacy and Selica more in the story. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I did previous installments but I enjoyed it all the same. Thank Keisha for the read 😉

Let me show you how I feel about divorce papers...
First and foremost, Keisha Ervin is a legend so my expectations are very high. I have been a fan since I was a teenager reading Me and My Boyfriend, Chyna Black and Gunz & Roses. I still have my original paperbacks. I purchased Gunz & Roses on Kindle the other day just to get reacquainted with Gray. My entire Facebook timeline was going crazy over sicko mode especially the ladies of NRG and I was confused. That led me to First Wives of Melanin Magic, then beast mode then finally sicko more all in one week. Sunday's are for relaxing so I picked up Sicko Mode and never put it down. It was that good, that juicy, that deep, that emotional, that mind erasing and mind stimulating. Gray turned her trials, pain and tribulations into a powerhouse. I was so proud of her in Sicko Mode because she bloomed. The triplets took the cake, I never saw that coming. I loved watching Press and Aoki grow up. I loved motherhood on Gray and fatherhood on Cam. Gunz was like a mosquito that wouldnt die. I have never hated a character more. Gray and Kema's friendship was magical just like Cam's and Quan's. They checked each other and held each other accountable. Lala, I just want to stomp her out and I cant wait for her to get what she deserves along with Tia and Kingston. Trifling. Nasty. Disgusting. Snakes. Also, Noon rubs me the wrong way but the ultimate surprise that took my breath away was Pastor. I was in tears reading that last chapter. How does a wedding turn into a massacre. We cant end like this. I dont think I will be reading anything until Sicko Mode 2 is released. Every book after this will be a waste of time and as we all know Gray is pretty much out of time. Its 12am.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
The Good**This review does contain spoilers**It is a beautiful love story of two dysfunctional people. There are no heroes in this book. Both of the main characters are flawed and it is a roller coaster trying to "watch" them try to get it together. Cam is disrespectful and easily angered. Grey is vindictive and keeps secrets. They have every reason in the world not to be together, however we all know they should and it is enjoyable "watching" them come to that conclusion. Grey is no longer the girl from Gunz and Roses and it is a welcomed transformation. Keisha reminds us that we have to continue to evolve no matter what we have been through. I don't want to say too much more, but read the book and the ones that precede it. You will not be disappointed. Ohhhh.... and it is laugh out loud funny!!The BadSelica (spelling) still won't give Stacey no play. I mean what a man gotta do to get a girl's attention these day?? At least let the man take you out to dinner. My suspicion that Noon is up to good was not confirmed. I will revisit this theory when the next book drops, but watch a few things he says.Pastor Edris, Pastor Edris......did not see that one coming. And the fact that he was preaching the gospel truth ugghhhh!!...but I should have...Gunz had gotten too quiet. Should have known he had something up his sleeve. Oh and where they met the grandmother. Very nice foreshadowing!Imma have to go back and read the Victor and Mina books. Was he always like that????The UglyIt is a cliffhanger, but on the bright side you know you are going to get another book. Now, this book in question will probably not come anytime soon, so don't worry Ms. Ervin to death. There are 500 million other books out there. They probably won't be as good, but it will help pass the time.Oh and they ruined Kema's whole day. She didn't deserve that.

It’s Time To Grow Up (characters)
It’s been a long time since i’ve read a Keisha Ervin book. I’ve been a fan since Me and My Boyfriend. Back then street lit had to have a certain dynamic, so the writing style was acceptable. It’s been years and characters in recent books are more immature than ever. Saying all that, I was intrigued by the last 3 books released, the story line kept pulling me in, but all of the characters needs some serious growing up to. It was becoming exhausting reading all the immaturity. If the characters acted like adults and handled situation better than they did, this book could be 5 stars all the way. I enjoy street novels but they can also be a little sophisticated as well. I wanna see ALL THESE CHARACTERS GROW UP!

Comedy
Ok so if this was a comedy novel I would’ve understood the immaturity with the characters but because I am a 35 year old women I couldn’t understand their mindset not one bit. For that I couldn’t honestly give this book 5 stars.

Keisha Ervin at her best!!!
This book is without a doubt the greatest example of urban fiction at it's best. Ms Ervin has the incredible talent of writing with such captivating words that paint such vivid pictures and the characters are so well developed and have great depth. I found this book so thought-provoking which makes for great conversation at a book club and/or with family and friends. This book without a doubt will keep readers on the edge of your seat from chapter 1 and takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Expect the unexpected! Sicko Mode deserves to be made into a movie!!!
