Primos Hunting Ol' Betsy Slate Call, Multicolored

Creeeek, crawk crawk crawk crawk!Yup. Turkey noises. As advertised, couldn’t ask for more. Believe it or not I’m actually using this as a prop in my D&D campaign, and it works well.

Ive bought several of these pot calls glass slate even aluminum this is the easiest one for me to use and it worked once already this season

Great call, does everything an expensive one does in my opinion called many birds with it. Only negative is any mosture on the call or stick with cause it to not work at all.

I’ve used other peoples pot calls before buying this one. This is the first pot call I’ve bought for myself. I’m happy with the results I’m getting, clucks, purrs and yelps are all pretty easy to coax from it. My wife who has never used a call before was getting some decent sounds out of it after only a couple minutes practicing. The pot is molded plastic and not carved wood but the call utilizes a nice piece of slate for the sound board. The call is perfect for a beginner and is well tuned. For the price it’s a good bargain. I would buy it again.

Great sounding call

AMAZING slate call!!!!! I was a little hesitant buying a cheap slate call offline but I'm so glad I did. First trip out using this call, I just did a few pecks and within an hour I called two beautiful toms in to 10 yards. This thing sounds amazing. I had birds responding left and right!!! Anytime I go out I make sure this is with me, I've owned it for about a year now and it still works as good as the day I bought it. It's a quality product and I'm surprised it's as cheap as it is. My buddy spent twice as much as I did and his doesn't even come close to sounding as realistic as mine. I would recommend this to anyone, if you want a nice slate call for a decent price I wouldn't look any further. This one is great for purrs, pecks, clucks, mating calls, and distress calls, it'll work for any type of hen calls. Great product and one happy customer!

It sounds great! Got different tones depending on how close to the center of the pot you scratch...It didn't come with a striker, i emailed primos twice. The 2nd time i just asked for a sticker, still no response. 3 stars because of customerservice, which seems to be Primos' Achilles heel from what i hear

Pretty good slate for beginner Turkey hunters,I can't speak for veteran hunters as this is my first time hunting Turkey,once you get used to the slate it seems ok called in a nice tom with it,but striker wears out fast and gets lop sided quickly with is frustrating especially when a tom is standing yards away from you and your struggling with your slate

I haven't been able to try this one out in the field yet due to the bad weather conditions we have had. However, I have been able to compare it with the Primos Purple Haze glass call, and I think that this one gives you the ability to vary your calls much more easily. Won't be able to do anything until next spring in terms of actually calling a long beard in, so I can't give it a 5 star rating at this time, but it does appear to be a promising call from what I can tell so far.
