Small, Accurate, and Easy to Read
These little hygrometers work exactly as expected. The displays are clear and easy to read, and the temperature and humidity readings respond quickly to changes in the room. The compact size makes them perfect for placing in small spaces like closets, cabinets, or near plants without taking up much room. Setup couldn’t be easier since they’re ready to go right out of the package, and the readings have been consistent and reliable so far. The two-pack is also a great value because it allows you to monitor conditions in multiple areas at once. Overall, a simple and effective way to keep track of humidity and temperature indoors.

Saved my hamster from torpor
I bought these for the temperature moreso than the hygrometer. After having them up for a while, I can think of so many uses for them! I chose these ones because they were cheap enough to get with my remaining amazon credit. I only have a window AC and a small space heater in my bedroom, and I had to keep the temperature above 60F during the cold freeze in order to keep my dwarf hamster from possibly going into torpor (a kind of emergency hibernation due to coldness or illness that can be fatal for the hamster.) As you can see, the temperature reading is very small, and you can't really read it unless you're looking straight at it, but it worked well enough. I was able to calculate during the cold wave the duration I'd have to leave my heater on in order to keep the temperature at 65F. I live in Louisiana so the cold wave didn't last long, but this really saved me a lot of anxiety. I have two in the room on different sides and they always read slightly different temperatures (because one side has a draft) so I'm confident about their accuracy. I also didn't realize how useful knowing the humidity would soon become. Since the humidity is easy to read I've found myself making certain observations... My night sweats are the worst when the humidity is over 80, and my allergies are worst when the humidity is below 60, etc. I've noticed the different ways my body will feel based on the fluctuating humidity. (It is naturally very humid here, but my AC rapidly takes a lot of the humidity out of the air, therefore the wide fluctuations.) I can see the extreme usefulness of these for people keeping animals or plants that require a certain humidity level! One of them sticks on my hamster's tank so I can really imagine anything in a tank etc that needs to be kept humid will benefit from this hygrometer. I even figured out how to keep the temperature in both sides of my room slightly different so that I can be cooler while my hamster is warmer.

Accurate but takes some resetting and a little bit of patience
As others have stated, the hygrometers were operating out of the box since the seller already stuck the batteries in before shipping it out. They're small, light, and have a clear and easy-to-read LCD screen. I bought them to monitor humidity in my guitar cases, so their size and lightness are perfect for fitting into the little available space around the guitar and I'm not afraid that they'll do any damage to the guitar if they come lose from their adhesive on their own (although it'll be a different story if its from something like the guitar case being jostled around). They also come with double sided 3M tape strips and a new set of batteries per unit which makes this a very good deal. Also as noted by another reviewer, almost the entire back side of the unit is occupied by the battery door which means ideal places for mounting are limited to the narrower sides. While this made mounting a bit more finicky, there's enough surface area to be able to securely adhere the double-sided tape to the top and to the desired surface. It doesn't feel like it'll come off unless I really pull on it. Out of the box, there was about a 1-2% humidity difference between the two units I purchased and temperatures were about .5-1 degree off. I reset them as specified by the seller in the Q&A's by removing the batteries and leaving them out for about 10 minutes before putting them back in. After the reset, the difference in numbers was the same, but after about 5 minutes of acclimating and letting them sit side-by-side on their own, they matched each other exactly. I'm assuming that the initial number differences may be due to very sensitive sensors that are reacting to the heat/moisture of your fingers after handling. I also think that the units do take a few seconds to register any changes in humidity/temperature, but that works perfectly fine for my purposes. For example, if you're moving it from a humid greenhouse to a dry exterior then you'll probably have to wait a few minutes for the numbers to gradually ramp up/down. If you want more responsive hygrometers you may need to look elsewhere, but if your monitoring situations aren't critically dependent on instant read numbers, then this is a perfectly adequate solution.

Can't beat these for the price point!
EDIT: Using my infrared heat gun, these were 1-2 degrees off. Not enough to matter if you're using these to gauge growing plants or keeping temperatures for a pet terrarium or similar function, but worth mentioning. Either that, or the heat gun is off. I have no way to calibrate either to know which is 100% perfect. Original post: I cannot confirm accuracy, but from using these around the house the past few weeks I'd say the temperature is accurate. Both read pretty much exactly the same for temp and humidity when they are near each other. if I breath on them, the humidity level jumps quickly to 100% (OK, it only has 2 digit places so it stops at 99%), so I think they are close enough for my needs. My needs? I have a bearded dragon and that means I need to have live insects to feed him. So I have to keep the insects at a steady temperature and humidity level so they are healthy when it is time to feed my dragon. So this is perfect. I cut a little rectangular hole in the bin, pop this in and these batteries (if they are anything like the last ones I owned) will last for a few years. They sent extra batteries, but goodness knows if I'll know where they are when these original batteries eventually give out. I only needed one, so I took the other upstairs to the bedroom. The humidity was really low (it's winter now), so this helped convince my wife that we needed a humidifier in the house. The first was too small, but my wife told me this morning that she could tell a difference in how she felt the following morning after the humidifier was running. I may toss this into the bearded dragon terrarium too. They need to be kept at a certain temperature and humidity level too.

They Work - They're Cheap!
These are just super small little boxes with a simple screen that displays the humidity and the temperature. They seem to be very accurate, and for the price, I feel like they were a good deal. It's nice having these around to check on places where moisture might be a problem. We had an apartment bathroom with poor ventilation and used one of these to monitor humidity levels to make sure mold and mildew wouldn't grow. It's nice that they are so small and don't take up room. They'd be great just about anywhere - under sinks, in closets, bedrooms, bathrooms, basements. They do what they're made to do, and mine have lasted 3 months already with no problems. The battery compartment is accessible by just sliding off a back panel so replacing batteries when they die will be a breeze.

1 yr going strong. Small but Mighty!
If these ever actually die or use up the extra batteries I will buy the same ones as replacements. Just replaced the batteries in one and I’ve been using them for 11 months now. The one with dead batteries has been working overtime. It’s in a basement. In Florida. On waterfront property. So it’s been reading 99% humidity the entire time. The poor little thing is probably as exhausted and overheated as I am! I still have one more set of batteries and the other meter is still going strong. I can’t think of the last $5 I spent that lasted as long as this pair of hygrometers! They are probably not accurate enough to conduct college thesis scientific experiments, but they are CLOSE. And that’s all I needed - to get an idea of how the humidity levels in the basement compared to the rest of the house and how those levels change with the seasons and rainfall. I think the humidity readings are more accurate than the temp readings, which sometimes showed ~4• off from the thermostat BUT my purposes are really for the humidity readings. Totally satisfied with this purchase and will buy same ones again if/when this pair quits or the batteries all die. Probably the extra batteries alone are worth the total cost. #battery life excellent #accuracy close enough #happy customer

Small & Accurate, But Would Prefer Mounting Options
This 2-pack of combo hygrometer (measures humidity) + thermometer are small, light, and seem to work well (placing them near each other and a 3rd model of a different brand, the readings are not identical but are fairly close, within about 0.5 degrees in temp and 1–2% humidity. They are also a great value, and come with batteries pre-installed (requires 2 each) PLUS comes with 4 spare batteries (one set for each unit). The only downside is the mounting. They DO come with small pieces of double-sided 3M tape (another nice touch), BUT using it to mount them would (a) block the battery compartment on the back and (b) may leave sticky residue on your glass surface. It would be great if they had with a small loop so they could be hung or a small hole to use a suction cup. But if you're OK with that quibble and don't need perfect accuracy, they are a great value and do the job.

Inaccurate temperature reading, a waste of money
Put the 2 units the to each other in wine fridge, it shows a 5-10 % temperature and humidity difference among them and this keeps varying, cheap quality and useless. Trying to return the product.

desechables
