Volkswagen Bus Camper Van Performance Portfolio 1979-1991: Road Test Book

This is a sort of interesting collection of old magazine reviews of Vanagons when they were new. Unfortunately, most are from England so most of the specs/measurements/performance stats are metric, and therefore pretty meaningless to read.

I wanted something that gave you information on the camper part of the van. This book has some specifications and some stories.

Disappointing.

Great for the VW T25 enthusiast. Very specific to T25 / T3 just what I wanted. Info you could just not fine elsewhere.

If you're a full-on Vanagaon/T3 wonk, this collection of period magazine articles and road reviews will be of interest to you. But like so many other things we share with those that don't ascribe to our particular vehicular perversion, it's of little interest to anyone who doesn't own one of these vans.No real tech info, no how-to guides, no bodges, workarounds, or "get her home with a roll of toilet paper and two hairpins" stories. Just plenty of articles from the 1980's and early '90's about the amazing new van from VW. Water cooled! Neat! And the later articles about the South African version of the van is interesting enough as well.If your van is part of your family, pick this up. It's not much money and it's fun to read in the biff. If you're not a deeply-addicted member of the tribe, skip it and buy yourself a nice sandwich or something.
