Yes takes a little practice to get it right, holding the tray with a flat palm helps but once you do get the technique these are the perfect size round cubes for cocktails. Not too small or too large - just right.

Love the size but the silicone is too flimsy and it's hard to move without spilling the water.

Wish I’d paid more attention to the reviews before purchasing. All the problems noted are true. Trays are sloppy to fill, flimsy, and the top and bottom half don’t stay seated together on their own. Works best if you lay something flat and sturdy down as a base (like a small plastic cutting board) in the sink, set the tray on top and fill it, then put the “lid” on and press down as the excess overflows, then pile something else flat on top (I used some frozen meat) to keep the “lid” from just floating back up, and then move the whole pile into the freezer. Otherwise you just get a kind of slab of ice with circular lumps at regular intervals. I wanted to like it but I wouldn’t buy this again nor recommend it to others.

These trays make unique looking rounded ice cubes. On first try it’s a little messy connecting the top to the bottom with water over flowing and spilling onto the counter top. After working on it a few times the adjustments worked but my ice cubes are never completely round-is it me? I’m not sure but there’s gotta be a better way.

Failed pinch test, all I have to say.

These simply do not work as advertised. Too flimsy, they do not seal thus cannot be filled.
