Bought this to go with the Rikon 10-inch band saw. After reading the reviews on this I was actually reluctant to order as there seemed to be so much wrong with it. The pictures showed the numbers upside down and there were numerous issues with fit and function. But, after numerous searches for other options (of which there were really none) I had to come back to this one.The miter I received was excellent. Out of the box it assembles easily, fits the saw table track perfectly, and slides easily with no wiggle. The body and face are a single piece of cast aluminum and it's well made. The face is a perfect 90 degrees both to the table and the saw blade. The numbers on the back side are right-side up like they should be (maybe a design change?); a small pointer sets the angle and can be adjusted if out of alignment. The handle, which needs to be loosened and tightened when setting cut angles, is a little too close to the face for my medium-sized hands, but it's workable. The face is 1-3/4 inches high by 5-1/5 inches long; there are two holes in the face that allows attachment of a sacrificial/support board (I went with 2 x 15 inches). On the one hand, it's too bad Rikon went with the 5/8-inch slot here, but they at least did a good job on this miter.Took 1/2-point off on the review because this miter is definitely too expensive; almost like Rikon knows they're pretty much the only option here unless you make your own (which I almost did).

Great saw for the hobbyists!
I was looking for a saw I could use to resaw hardwoods and I didn’t want to spend $1,000. After reading reviews I purchased the 10” Rikon. I haven’t need disappointed. The 1/2 HP motor provides enough power to resaw walnut. The pics show 3/8” strips, but I’m confident I could go thinner. With the correct set up cuts were very smooth. I did change out the factory blade to one intended for resawing.

Great saw, poor fence design
The unit is very heavy and sturdy. The initial setup went well, the pieces fit together easily. That is when the fun stopped. The fence assembly and attempted alignment went down hill. The fence is not at all what I expected. It is formed aluminum and is very hard to setup and install. A great saw and a cheap fence does not mix well. After repeated attempts I got it as close as I could to perfect. The unit uses nylon screws - how is that going to work on a fence that will need to bear a lot of weight being pushed against it? I am going to contact Rikon directly - since when did the American consumer say it was okay to sell us inferior products so the profits can be higher and executive wages can be increased?

Great Rikon 10 Inch Bandsaw!
This Rikon 10 inch bandsaw is amazing. I recently purchased this bandsaw to replace a 30+ year old 10 inch, still-working, but now very dated, Craftsman bandsaw, after many years of reliable use. It takes a little time to assemble the Rikon bandsaw correctly, and get everything adjusted straight and true to the blade. However, once everything is setup the bandsaw cuts very well. The toolless guide-bearing adjustments make setting up the blade very easy. The tracking and tension adjustments also work very well to keep the blade cutting straight, or curved, when necessary. The bandsaw comes with a nice adjustable rip fence, and I also purchased the Rikon miter sled (not included) with the bandsaw. The bandsaw has onboard storage for the assembly/adjusting tools and the rip fence. This Rikon bandsaw is very quiet while running and cutting. It is also large and very heavy (over 80 pounds) compared to other bandsaws in the 9 and 10 inch cut class. I mounted the Rikon bandsaw on a portable rolling stand, which really helps with moving the heavy bandsaw around the shop. If you are looking for a good 10 inch, high-quality hobby bandsaw, but don't need a big 14+ inch cut monster bandsaw, then look no further. This is a heavy duty, high quality bandsaw, and not some cheap "toy" like many other brand bandsaws in this 9/10 inch cut class seem to be. The Rikon bandsaw is also a little more expensive than the others, but it is so worth the price for a real bandsaw. I highly recommend this Rikon 10 inch bandsaw.

Awesome little saw, fence kinda sucks
Did a bunch of research on benchtop bandsaws, settled on this one. Not dissapointed at all. Cuts great, threw on a 1/2 inch 4TPI from olson and its perfect for resaws at full height (just over 5 inches), and has cut walnut, pine, and maple with no problems. Still have to finish the surfaces after, but awesome. The fence is really hard to get to work correctly though, and I am looking into a magfence for resawing, would be easier to set up than the crappy fence that they ship with the saw. No regrets though.

It’s a great small bandsaw
You see a lot of reviews for “benchtop” bandsaws with lots of complaints, but this thing is just legit (once set up properly, youtube is your friend on this one). Replace the blade immediately, but that’s with every tool. Fence is great, I have resawed hardwood up to the limit of the saw, works great. Tons of power. I think any complaints are honestly from people who don’t know how to properly set up a bandsaw.
