Luckily, I have other cleaning rods
These rod stops work fine for their intended purpose, but,.....I have two Tipton carbon fiber rods, one for .22 caliber rifles and one for larger bores. I was led to believe that these rod stops would fit on any rod used for cleaning .22 caliber barrels, but they won't fit on my Tipton rod. They fit nicely on an older stainless steel rod, so I can use them.

Doesn't hold firm enough
I really like Pro Shot products. I use many of their items (along with Hoppes and Tipton). However, I was really disappointed with this Rod Stop. When tightened down, the stop still slides on the rod. I mainly wanted this to use with my Hoppes Elite Pistol Rod when cleaning revolvers. You really need a rod stop to keep brushes and jags from slamming into the frame and firing pin. Often, the pressure applied to get them through the barrel is hard to stop. This will not work, as that pressure is enough to move the stop. The rod stop is well built. Fit and finish were great. Hope it works for you.

This is very well made and I like it. HOWEVER
This is very well made and I like it. HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT FIT TIPTON .22-.26 RODS. It fits dedicated .22 rods and the Pro-Shot rods. According to Pro-Shop .22-.26 rods are not standardized but .30 cal rods are.

Not recommended
The rod stop is ok but I am somewhat disappointed. I does fit the rod, but clamped as tight as I can get it, it still slides on the rod. It's not so loose that it falls off the rod, but the best it does is mark a spot on the rod to let you know you've reached the chamber. If you keep pushing the Stop will move with very little effort.

Pro Shot is the best.
The Pro Shot rods and accessories are, in my mind, the best gun cleaning products. This Rod Stop is very cool. You place it at the right spot on the rod and twist to tighten. The result is you can drive the rod without having the tip bang the firing pin. Works for all barrel lengths.

Inexpensive and a must for your gun cleaning kit.
This is a must for every gun cleaning kit. After you run a couple of patches and get the bulk of the fowling out then you can use this and wet a patch to scrub back and forth without running it out the end of the muzzle.

Be warned
This rod stop is well made, but be warned this will not fit rods with a diameter greater than .20 and not .26 as stated in the description.I have checked the dimension with an internal micrometer. It is definitely wrong, and they would not fit on my cleaning rods.
