Gorgeous rocks!!! They arrived on time and in perfect condition, just if you were to buy at a store. I have been wanting to buy agate bookends since I bought some as a gift for my father this past Christmas. These are more reasonably priced and look just like the more expensive ones from Marshals. I paid much more for the ones that I gifted and these are just as nice (but a tad smaller). They are short but I am fine with that, the description did say 1-3lbs. If you are looking for something large I would pass on these. Mine feel heavy and they will hold books just fine. I am using them as décor in two different places for now though. The set includes a card that tells you what agate is helpful for so this would make a great gift for someone who is new to crystals and stones. The set I received had more white than in the crystal than the picture portrays but for this type of item, you can only guess what variation you will receive. I actually like that there is more white. Either way, they are beautiful and I love them! I received these bookends at a discounted rate.

I have been wishing for a pair of agate bookends since they have been featured in many popular interior design magazines. Most are out of my price range so I've just kept an eye out for a pair that may not be exactly as I want but a good starting point. When I saw these I thought that they were worth giving a try despite many of the reviews being so-so for the price you can't really expect too much. However, the ends that I received EXCEED my expectations, I think I got the deal of the century. The stone is much more beautiful and detailed than the listing photo. They are really beautiful. I am so happy! I think with real stone a lot of the critique is somewhat subjective because every piece will be unique in and of itself unless you are ordering from a high end retailer you don't really know what you will get. I would highly recommend purchasing and if it doesn't meet expectations you can always return but it's worth the risk. What one person likes another may not. As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

These stones were more gorgeous than I thought they'd be! I knew there was a decent chance at getting a set that didn't have much variation in color or pattern (they are stones after all), but I was pleasantly surprised at how stunning these are! My little stone collector/book loving recipient is going to be so thrilled :)It will be interesting to see how well these work as bookends due to the odd width of the one. Both stones are similar in height and roundness, which is very pleasing, but one is significantly thinner than the other, maybe half as thick at the base and a third as thick higher up.Caution: these will dye your hands! I didn't read the reviews before purchasing, but just in the handful of minutes it took to photograph these, my finger tips are covered in blue dye...Overall, these will still be a wonderful gift and I'm happy with my purchase.

These are such a great accent / colorful item for any space. Great for home or office. I bought these for a small corner desk to serve as bookends for a few small notepads. They look great. These came quickly and look just beautiful. A couple of things to mention ---These really are more for looks than actually holding back big books. They are very smooth on the bottom and not quite big enough, so they want to slide. I pretty much figured I would put them on top of my plain metal bookends if I use them for that at all.Also, these are dyed and there is a lot of dye residue on the bookends. I washed them with liquid soap and water until the water ran clear. Afterwards they didn't stain the towel and the bright color of the bookends didn't fade out. Overall for the price I paid I am very happy.

Pretty bookends. I am glad that I received exactly the color and shape pictured and weight as described. There was a nick in one of the bookends on the black polished side. Not overly noticeable enough to return.As far as them functioning as actual bookends, they really don't serve that purpose well. I got them to hold up 6 cookbooks approx 1/4" wide and they are not able to hold all 6 books up. They are constantly crashing over on my tile counter. I realize the size and weight are small but if they can't hold up a few small books, what good are they? Therefore I guess they will be displayed as a knickknack rather than a bookend. Overall a waste of money for me.

So, they're kind of cute. I have a pair of blue agate bookends that were given to me years ago and they're nice and heavy and lovely. These are no comparison to those.These are cute but they are dyed the color you want so there are very distinct holes in the stone to add the dye that are noticeable and detract from the natural beauty of the stone. I wouldn't mid as much if the holes were only in the "shell" or uncut part of the stone... but they're also in the smooth, colored part of the stone making it look like someone took a small chisel to them.Aside from that they are VERY small. They may hold up 3 small paperbacks, but I don't think they'd hold up much else. Wouldn't buy another pair.

I bought these as a present for my mother for Christmas because she loves geodes and crystals, so these were perfect for her! Considering the coloring, size, and design, you are getting much more than what you paid for. Most other geode bookends you find online are much more expensive, so if you're in the market for something exactly like this, you can't find geodes anywhere else that are this high of quality for such a low price. Definitely recommend!Thank you so much!
