sycamore row by john grisham
Grisham is a very readable author, so I generally enjoy his books. While his books are naturally about the ins and outs of the legal system, occasionally he also writes a 'cliff hanger' where everything seems a lost cause and the inevitable end is disaster, but finally it all comes together and there's a sense of victory and relief. Sycamore Row was like that. By the time the reader had gotten through 80% of the story, it seemed lik everything was hopelessly lost and then the author drops a bombshell which confounds everybody (and surprises the reader..!)Good read. Convincing charactors. Interesting expose of both sides of a law suit and a believable ending. Well worth the purchase.

Dynamite Row--Sidekick
I enjoyed reading the synopsis of this novel. I intend to buy the full novel as it sounds as if it will be a very enjoyable read.John Grisham is a wonderful author and I am glad to see that he has returned to Ford County, Mississippi. I've missed hearing what Jake Brigance, Harry Rex, Lucien, Ozzie and others have been up to. They're old friends.

I was very pleased with this analysis of the Sycamore Row
I was very pleased with this analysis of Sycamore Row. I found it to be a great companion to the full book because of my busy schedule, there is often several days in between reading sessions. I can simply use the chapter by chapter break down to refresh what I already read, as well as learn a bit more in depth about what is there. I love how the analysis points out certain things like the setting that the author was trying to create and other observations such as how the author created an African American lawyer to represent Lettie and how this lawyer uses racism to make his points.

Very Helpful
My husband reads me to sleep most evenings. The Book Buddy is an excellent summary for me to hear the highlights of what i missed as I fell asleep. Also a good analysis of writing structure and technique.

A must read!
I love the way this analysis explained how the wealthy Seth Hubbard wrote his children and grandchildren out of his will, and appointed a lawyer named Jack Briggance, someone he never met, to represent the hand written will. The analysis is informative, often going in to detail where the book did not. I'm excited to use this analysis as I read the full book, and it also encouraged me to read A Time to Kill.

Just read the book
This is a very superficial outline of the plot, chapter by chapter, sometimes scene by scene. If you have trouble following the identity of the characters or the flow of the plot of a book, this might help you. Perhaps it would help you follow a Tolstoy novel or with a book you were required to read for a class. But it should be unnecessary for most books and most people.

I was deceived
Since I did not not know what -"Sidekick and BookBuddy" meant I ordered what I thought was #John Grisham' s SYCAMORE ROW not a useless review of the book. There is a conspicuous lack of any mention in the advertising presentation of the content being anything but Grisham's work. Shame on you.
