Delayed in shipping, but was very quickly solved by company after I contacted them. This is, as far as I can tell, exactly the same make as I've seen in many videos from Turkey, and is for the most part very well-built ( I've seen better tuners, but this may be the best available in Istanbul , NO disrespect to my Turkish friends who clearly put effort into this instrument !) Played right out of the box with no adjustments and sounded correct in 'oud' tuning (and came WITH A GIG BAG !!) Overall I am very happy with this !.

The item purchased (Cumbus) is an excellent musical instrument, well constructed and has a great tone.In addition to the great instrument which I purchased for a very good price, The seller in Turkey was very good in attending to my questions about the shipping of the instrument. I highly recommend RTIR MUSIK, and Amazon on providing a great service.

much better than anticipated

I’ve wanted to get a Cümbüş for sometime now, but I never had the opportunity to first try it out. Unless one went to Turkey, you couldn’t buy one. A great company “Sala Muzik” they always have nice feature videos showing these exoticly beautiful sounding instruments! I have been an oudist for twenty years so I took a chance and just ordered one from Sala muzik.Firstly, the instrument is absolutely stunning! Not knowing just how to tune it, I tuned it to Turkish tuning, and the plectrum is same as Oud. If you’re already playing the Oud, then you can pick this up to add another cool sound to you’re musical arsenal.BTW ... it’s all in the name , THIS IS FUN TO PLAY!Charles Zuber
