Leather Braided Camera Strap Matador Noir w/Electroplated Rings, Hand-Made 47 inches

I myself did not know about Vi Vante products before this purchase. After reading online about other peoples experiences, I felt I had to have one for myself. Sure, there are more affordable straps that do the job, but having one of these is special. The craftsmanship that went into this is amazing and it is very comfortable around the neck brand new before even being broken in. Although this may not fit your budget, I imagine that you won't regret owning one yourself. It comes with extra rings and a card of authentication. Delivery was fast. I'm happy and would buy again.

Pro:* High quality materials and construction; could easily last a lifetime;* Built-in protectors on the connectors;* Very comfortable to wear;* Folds down to a reasonable size;* Luxury look and feel.Issues:* This strap is 45" long, so if you are much taller than, say 5'10", this may not be long enough;* Not as flexible as some straps, but that's the trade-off for the heavy construction.Overall, I'm glad I bought this product.

First let me comment and say the craftsmanship of this product is indeed, second to none; the company presents the product as such and they definitely deliver. With 12 total strands woven together, I found the strap flawed just due to size and the “fiddle” factor. The whole strap feels over the top for my Q3. It's stiff and slightly uncompromising in its practicality. If I had a larger and more beefy camera say a classic M10 of another film body and sizeable lens the bulk and thickness would make total sense. I found the attachment ring a be a bit awkward in size and the strap just didn't feel natural around the neck.

This strip is the perfect length and width for my Leica M6. The leather is soft, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. I highly recommend this camera strap, very comfortable and looks fantastic.

This is easily one of the most wholesome, robust and comfortable strap you will get for your Leica. Scott brings his experience with the camera to create a product that matters. The reason for a 2-3 star review is their approach to pricing. I paid $250 for this two months back and now this is being offered at 35-50% discount by the seller.So product is fantastic but don’t waste your $$$ in paying the listed price. Most if not all versions should be on sale (Black Friday, cyber Monday, Christmas in July, etc.)I understand that companies need to get their stock to move, but a 50% cut is below the belt for customers who have purchased the product recently.

Superb leather craftsmanship

The Vi Vante Matador Noir is truly a remarkable strap that in some ways is beyond description, you have to experience and use it in person to know what I’m am talking about.The 12 integrated braided strands of the finest Italian leather come together in such a way that this is both incredibly strong yet at the same time so flexible. This allows the matador to fit into very small compartments inside of camera bags that most other straps of this size would not. Because of its remarkable flexibility it doesn’t permanently crease when folded at a sharp angle like other leather straps do. It is able to support a very wide range of cameras from small mirror less to reasonably large SLR bodies and everything in between. It is perfect if you shoot with Fuji, Leica or Sony bodies, or other cameras of similar size. The comfort of wearing one around the neck and shoulders is fantastic. It is better than any other strap I have used. The only thing that I can compare it to in terms of comfort is Vi Vante’s Ultime straps. Vi Vante is making designs that are not just different and interesting, but truly better in so many ways. The Matador is a prime example of this. Both beauty and function come together as one in the Vi Vante Matador.

Used on my M10. Great quality, feels expensive (which it is…). Beautifully woven leather strap. Feels like it will last a lifetime.Minor niggles which mean 4 not 5 stars for me; it’s slightly shorter than the Hawkesmill plain leather strap I used before. This makes a difference because this strap is so thick, it’s not as flexible and so doesn’t sit as well round my tall and ahem wider body. The shorter length- about 1.5 cm - does make a real difference to handling. Also as it’s such a thick strap it does not fold easily into some camera bags.Finally and this is a minor moan, the pouch the strap comes in is very low quality. A simple cloth bag would have better looked the part.All in all though probably the best quality camera strap I’ve had.
