After a lot and I mean a lot of research looking at a variety of tripods from cheap to not so cheap and comparing reviews I finally chose this tripod. It has a great fluid head and easy panning and tilt which just feels "right". Even when the central rod is fully extended there is hardly a wobble and the height is more than I expected but is very appreciated. The ability to turn the central rod upside down and get closer to the ground shoots is a great facility as well as the splay of the legs to nearly level with the ground provides numerous shooting advantages. Rubber feet which can be changed out for metal spikes provides even more versatility. Great tripod, well built, sturdy and stable giving in my opinion great value for money.

My tripod came from Amazon today and wow what a difference from my old one, I brought this tripod because it was fitted with a Video head instead of the ball head and like my monopod from the same company the tripod is well built and the video head moves very smoothly in all directions. I don't do video at all but the video head I find is better than the ball head and some gimbal heads, so both items brought from Caver though Amazon are excellent and I'm 100% happy, Amazon delivered on time and the service from them has been great...

At the time that I ordered the tripod there were no reviews so I ordered it on faith. I was not disappointed as, apart from the weight, it fulfills all my needs. As virtually all my videoing takes place outside the weight is a consideration but as any reduction would probably result in a less robust item I am happy to live with it. Panning is beautifully smooth, which is critical when filming trains on the move. The only fault that I found is that when assembled it won't fit in the bag provided! Summarising, I am delighted with my purchase which is equal to many at much higher prices.

Really great tripod it's still Abit weighty and I think I would have preferred to go for a carbon fiber model as this as a travel tripod is still not too light. But it does the job and I think overall it's worth the money

Well for a start it's pretty study and has some decent features. However it has one really annoying flaw, if you're recording and want to use the pan arm you'll have to mount the camera sideways, this wouldn't be to much of an issue but the twist lock is in a very inconvenient position right under the camera making it annoyingly hard to tighten properly.Edit. Got so annoying I have decided to return it.

Having used this for the last few days, I can say it is a very nice sturdy tripod. Excellent flexibility and I can position the camera at any height from the floor up. Build quality is excellent and the fluid head is very smooth. I was worried about the removeable leg reducing stability but it make no difference at all. Excellent quality carry case too which is a bonus when your boot it full of kit. Great product. No negatives so far.

I had bought several of these tripods and in the past I had a good experience, the last 3 I bought were very bad, the screws on the bags also break, anyway I think I will look for another brand for the next ones…

Très bonne impression en recevant le produit concernant la qualité des matériaux, les alliages, la qualité de la tête avec sa souplesse dans les mouvements... J'ai eu à un moment un petit doute concernant la stabilité du pied central quand celui-ci est levé, il y avait effectivement du jeu, mais en fait il ne faut pas hésiter à serrer bien fort l'écrou principal et à ce moment-là tout rentre dans l'ordre (mais il devait certainement y avoir moyen de mettre une bague plus efficace à cet endroit pour éviter de devoir serrer si fort) . Les clips de verrouillage des segments de pied sont réglables, ne pas hésiter à passer un peu de temps pour les régler au mieux pour qu'ils accrochent suffisamment mais sans exagérer sur le serrage, conditions importantes pour la durée de vie ! Enfin, ce pied n'est pas le plus léger, mais en ce qui me concerne, je l'ai sélectionné un peu pour ça, mon matériel avec flash fait 2,6kg et je tenais à ce que le pied fasse au moins le poids du matériel pour une question de stabilité et pour moi, c'est impeccable. Je suis très content de mon achat.

El único pero es que me vino con el paneo un poco duro seguramente se solucione reengrasandolo.

Auf der Suche nach einem Videostativ für meine Bridge-Kamera habe ich mich für dieses Stativ entschieden. Da es noch keine Vor-Rezensionen gab, musste ich die "Katze im Sack" kaufen. Da aber andere Cayer-Stative gut bewertet worden sind, habe ich mich doch zum Kauf entschlossen. Ausschlaggebend war für mich, dass das Stativ robust und hoch ausziehbar sein sollte. Das Stativ wurde nun geliefert und entspricht der Artikelbeschreibung.Meine Beschreibung bezieht sich auf den ersten Eindruck nach dem Ausprobieren, Langzeiterfahrungen kann ich noch keine liefern.Das Cayer AF2451 ist aus robustem Metall mit nur wenigen Plastikteilen und wie zu erwarten eben kein ganz leichtes Stativ. Die mitgelieferte Tragetasche macht auch einen robusten Eindruck. Die Funktionsweise der Fixierung der Standbeine hatte ich aus den Texten nicht richtig verstanden. Das System macht aber auch einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Es lässt sich praktisch eine silberfarbene kleine Metallplatte herausziehen, so dass jedes Standbein frei beweglich ist. Schiebt man dieses Teil herein, kann es sich in eine der drei vorgegebenen "Stufen" drücken, so dass eine der drei möglichen Winkelpositionen fixiert wird. Einfach, aber robust und effektiv. (Bei anderen Stativen haben die "Einrastungen" manchmal geklemmt, was hier nicht der Fall ist.)Das Stativ steht selbst voll ausgezogen noch sehr stabil. Man kommt mit dem Dreibeinstativ auf eine Höhe von ca. 1,90 m der optischen Achse einer darauf montierten Kamera. Die Clipverschlüsse für die Stativbeine lassen sich einfach bedienen. Zur Justage gibt es zwei kleine kreisförmige Wasserwagen, eine am "Spider" des Statives und eine am Videokopf. Dieser lässt sich gut über eine seitliche Schraube feinjustieren. Den Widerstand für eine Drehung des Kopfes und Neigung kann man nicht einstellen, wohl aber den Andruck der Feststellschrauben, so dass man die "Leichtgängigkeit" doch etwas einstellen kann.Die Basisplatte ist wie im Bild gezeigt gegen ein versehentliches Herausrutschen mit einem Knopf gesichert. Bei der Klemmvorrichtung für die Halteplatte gibt es ebenfalls von mir keine Beanstandungen. Die Gummifüße können gegen Spikes getauscht werden, die sich mit im Lieferumfang befinden. Ebenso sind diverse Inbusschlüssel zum Nachziehen der Schrauben beigefügt. Die Stativstange hat unten einen Haken, an den ein Gewicht angehängt werden kann. Diese Halterung lässt sich abschrauben, so dass die Stange auch auf dem Kopf stehend angebracht werden kann, um kleine Distanzen zum Boden zu realisieren.Wie in den Abbildungen gezeigt, lässt sich das Bein mit der Ummantelung abschrauben, so dass man sich zusammen mit der mittleren Stativstange auch ein Einbein-Stativ basteln kann.Insgesamt macht alles einen stabilen und soliden Eindruck. Ich bin schon gespannt, wie sich das Stativ im Einsatz bewähren wird.
