Stella Sandoval10 Minute Solution: Latin Dance Mix

Super Fun Latin Dance Workout -- Best for Experienced Exercisers
I would definitely say that this video might be tough for folks who are new to dance aerobics but, for those who have some Latin dance classes/videos under their belt, it's a good one. The first time I did this video, I planned to only do three sections, but ended up doing all five because it was so fun, which added up to a good cardio workout. This is one of the only 10-Minute-Solution dance videos that, in my opinion actually feels like dancing--I found it to be very reminiscent of salsa classes I took in Mexico. The transitions between steps move a bit quickly, but I was able to catch most of them the first time through and know this will be a fun video to do over and over. I recommend it.

Latin Dance MIx it is!
I am a big fan of the "10 minute solution"-series and I also adore this workout. I love the fact that there are 5 different segments that I can do in whatever order I want to. Hot Cardio Mix & Tango Toning Twist are my favorite sections. If you really get into the groove and move you will feel it, especially in your hips and waist.I like Stella beacuse she seems to enjoy the workout which makes it easy for me to forget that she sometimes says right when she means left and that the music is a little low sometimes. And those are the reasons I give it four stars instead of five. However, that's not something that doesn't bother me at all since I've done it a few times and now know which way to go and what to do.So if your like the latin style dances this should definately be a dvd in your collection along with Stella's Sizzling Salsa.

Fun, moderate intensity
I really enjoy this dvd. It was better than I expected. No, it is not for someone who does high intensity aerobics every day. But if you are like me, just trying to work in 20 or 30 minutes of physical activity several times a week, this is perfect! It got my heart rate up, but it's not high-impact or hard on my bad knee and back. The moves aren't so easy I got bored right away, but they are fun to work on and improve my latin dance technique and I always feel like I can handle 2 or 3 segments, even if I really don't feel like exercising. The dancing is a lot more fun and I am more motivated to do it than boring excercise videos, which end up dusty and buried under the couch. I like the 10 Minute Solutions Fat Blasting Dance Mix too, but I sometimes I feel awkward and old trying to do those hip hop moves.

good presentation and choices
I've just previewed the DVD. The quality of the DVD is quite good except it could be brighter.PROS:1) choices of workout2) repetition for viewers to follow3) music is upbeat4) the instructor is enthusiastic, pleasant and good with her movesCONS:1) the steps are fast for non dancers like myself--could have shown the steps mroe slowly for the first time so viewers can practise before starting with music2) only one instructor seemed quite boring--a few more people would be nice3) no warm up or cool down before and after quite an intensive workoutOverall I like the DVD and am looking forward to using it in addition to the Leslie Sansone workout DVDs. This could be more fun and variety than Leslie's but kind of harder for me to follow. It's worthed a try for people who want a change from regular workouts.

NO COOL DOWNS, BUT STILL A GREAT LATIN DANCE WORKOUT!
The only thing that was lacking in this 10 Minute Solution DVD was a cool down at the end of each segment. However, Stella Sandoval does not want you to think you are exercising or doing a dance workout. But actually more as if you are on the dance floor! That was what made this DVD more and more enjoyable over time! Plus, I enjoyed her Dance Off The Inches: Sizzling Salsa DVD. Not only, a perfect stress reliever and get in some Latin fun on my pressed for time days!

It's Fun, Not Work
I really enjoy both this DVD by Stella Sandoval and her Sizzling Salsa class. Both make getting a great workout fun instead of work. I had been wanting to find a workout that was "dancey," but I was getting extremely annoyed with the zumba and the "dance party" classes at my gym because the moves change so fast and are never explained. I was not having fun and not getting a decent workout. So I love it that Stella breaks down the moves and then builds on them. I never have to wonder "what is she doing now?" I always know. She has a lovely persona as an instructor. And I can even see more definition in my abs now!

i like it
Ok. So let's face it. The Latin sexy salsa super whatever has been a bit overdone in exercise DVD land. We aren't all jlo and I for one am not trying to be. For that reason I was reluctant but I enjoyed it. I have seen her as an extra In another video and focused more on her than the instructor I like her presence. She is warm and encouraging. And after awhile the heart rate goes up and the waist line goes in!! Id purchase another of her videos

The speed of the dances.
I ordered this Latin Dance Mix because I wanted something different and I was getting bored with the other DVD's I had.I am really enjoying this Dance Mix. Its not difficult, the speed is just right.

Great for beginners, Dancing purist could disagree... but still a 4.5 stars
If you think you have no latino beat or that Mambo is only for skinny tall brunettes with boobs bulging out of their skimpy outfit ....... Think again, this DVD will prove you wrong.Beginners will love this one. The same 10 - 15 dance steps and arm movements are repeated often in various sequences, so it makes them easy to master and hard to forget. The workouts are demanding but not difficult. They make the most out of the 10 minutes without having you give up due to complexity. Heart Pump ... yes, but not Heart attack. Mix this DVD with 1 or 2 others from the serie and you can have yourself a good workout every day.Issues : Workout names are misleading. Tango Tone has nothing to do with Tango dancing. The Chacha one is more Merengue and Mambo than Cha Cha Cha. Mrtrngur groove fips rapifly into Mambo. It could be annoying for some. You also hear the trainer voice more than the music. But that is matter of taste. The trainer is not your typical short skirt Latin dancer girl. She is wears conservative clothes and is not underweight (strong legs !!!!). Guess what, SHE LOOKS HEALTHY and has a PHYSIQUE THAT CAN BE ACHIEVED. Very refreshing and encouraging.Cannot give it a five (boring music), but a solid 4 stars. "I only have 10 minutes" will turn into "let's do another 10".

Fun Latin Dance Exercise
If you enjoy salsa dancing then you'll enjoy this workout. It's not as fun as Zumba but what's great is that you can workout for as little as 10 minutes and up to 50 minutes if you play all the chapters. I did work up a good sweat and by the time I got to the 5th chapter, I was feeling kind of pooped. If you're looking for a dance workout that's fairly simple to follow - this is a good DVD to purchase.

Interesting...if you like Latin dancing
So, this is my least favourite out of the 10 minute solutions. You definitely don't feel like you're working out as the steps are VERY hard to master. I find this instructor to be difficult to follow. This being said, you are pouring with sweat if you do the moves properly.

SO MUCH FUN!!
I thought I knew these dances 'till I tried to exercise with the cd. What I like best is that I can pick and choose the lenght of my work-out and pick the 10 mi. segments I would like to dance to. I am getting a little better but it took a few weeks to get some of the combinations of steps. I love it!!
