My Favorite Daily Green Tea Choice
Pearl 'Zhu Cha' is not an expensive or fancy green tea by any stretch of the imagination, but it has some redeeming qualities that have elevated it to my favorite daily green tea. If you brew green tea you know how quickly some leaves turn bitter and this tea is very forgiving in that way. I brew gongfu style where I dump a full ounce into a huge infuser basket, re-steep it up to a dozen times over the course of a day, and this tea will go the distance. When the tea has a slight cloudiness to it you know it's perfect. Lastly it has a great taste that is so good that I sometimes drink 2 or 3 cups back-to-back. Set it up for Subscribe and Save so you'll save 15% and then you too can drink lots of this great tea without any regrets.

Excellent tea in a generous amount for everyday drinking
This is a good quality tea; smooth and herbaceous. I enjoy the bounteous feeling of having a whole pound of it in the cupboard; I then feel comfortable using it as an everyday beverage, instead of parceling it out in dribs and drabs. Excellent quality for the price. Long live the Tao of Tea!

Great green tea
I am a green tea lover and that means I get through a lot of tea. That being the case, I need a daily drink which doesn't break the bank and this gunpowder tea is it. It is my daily, go-to tea and I save the sencha and other more expensive brands for special occasions. The taste is mildly astringent with some vegetable overtones but not too much. I brew it about 1 minute which works for me (green tea easily becomes bitter if over-brewed) but you could go 2 or 3 minutes. Steep time isn't as critical for this tea as it is for sencha. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a relatively inexpensive green tea.

Excellent Green Tea
I have been drinking the Tao Gunpowder Green Tea for over a year now and I constantly return to this product. It isn't bitter and I can brew a good strong cup of tea with it in my French press. I typically get three brews out of the leaves before they turn. Some may get better performance from the leaves than I do, since I do steep them a good long time, for green tea. I like it potent. As long as this tea is sold, I will drink it as my everyday cup of green.

This is not tea pearls. It's over dried tea leaves.
I thought, because it was from Tau of Tea that it would be a premium product. It is the worst green tea I bought, yet. Over dried tea leaves and no pearls at all.

When you think of gunpowder tea...
I believe this is a fine example in it's category at the price point. Are there finer grades? Yes. But this one is pretty darn fine itself and unless you are impressing guests, a cuppa tea is a cup of tea. Buy this. You'll agree.

The most aromatic green tea you will have
I love this Tao tea because I still get the satisfaction of the aroma of Earl Grey without having to drink black tea.Their Earl Grey Black tea rocks too. It has real Bergamont oil which some high end tea companies don't use anymore. The integrity of Tao of Tea is still high. Thanks for keeping things authentic.
