Stephanie Plum faces the toughest puzzle of her career in the twenty-fifth entry in Janet Evanovich's #1 New York Times -bestselling series, now in paperback for the first time. There's nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that's been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it's a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they'd better figure out what's going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum. Review: Another fun read - I really enjoy the Stephanie Plum series. They are a fun read filled with good characters, witty humor and a storyline that is entertaining. There is very little foul language or sex and are still great books. I wished more authors used their writing abilities and not relying on trash. Review: An Enjoyable Romp with Lots of Ranger - I had read this series years ago and stopped after book 21, because I got tired of the love triangle and the same silly antics. I recently re-read the series and when you read the books in succession over a period of several weeks instead of years, the love triangle doesnโt seem so dragged out and the Stephanie/Lula antics still make me laugh. So I decided to read on. I really enjoyed this book 25, probably because there was lots of Ranger in it and I am TOTALLY Team Ranger. There was a really, really sweet moment between Stephanie and Ranger as theyโre driving, looking for the bad guys and Stephanie gets wistful, wanting to just leave their troubles behind and drive on to Point Pleasant, lie on the beach together and hold hands. It was such a sweet, loving moment between them โ both Stephanieโs wistfulness and Rangerโs tender reaction. Oh, my heartโฆ Morelli has been a one-dimensional bore to me since book 2. Heโs also a clueless idiot about Stephanieโs involvement with Ranger. Morelli trusts her and he seems oblivious that heโs sharing her affections with Ranger. Thereโs dishonesty in their relationship and I wish that would be addressedโฆand maybe have them realize theyโre NOT meant to get married. Then again, maybe Morelli does know about her dalliances with Ranger, because when Grandma Bella was in the car with them and called Stephanie a slut, Morelli said nothing, not one word of support for his girlfriend. In contrast, when Vinnie was publicly ranting at Stephanie, calling her a walking clusterf***, Ranger quietly moved into Vinnieโs field of vision as a warning to shut up or face his rage. Yup, I am totally Team Ranger. If you are, too, I think youโll enjoy this book. There was also a new twist with Stephanie and Lula working in a diner. I enjoyed the chaos that ensued.

Another HILARIOUS Read!
This series never gets old for me! I loved Stephanie in book 1, and still love her in book 25! Iโve seen some people say Evanovich should stop writing this series and I canโt even IMAGINE there NOT being another book as the years go by. I love this series! I hope it never ends. For those readers who are tired of it I suggest moving on. No shame in that if you arenโt into them anymore. Me? I want to see so many more. J.D. Robb has successfully created a series of books that are up to about 50 novels and I hope this stands true with the Stephanie Plum series. The humor is top notch and Iโm always laughing hysterically from the antics that Stephanie and Lula get into. While this one didnโt have much of Grandma Mazur (sheโs my favorite) I know the next one will be all about her. I canโt wait! With all that being said, this is one of my favorite series of all time and I highly recommend it to readers who havenโt had the chance to read them yet. You should read them in order!

Janet is STILL rockin this ๐๐
Janet has NOT lost her touch. I don't know why so many people are being so hard on this book?? You can't expect every book Janet writes to be THE best book you have ever read. People claim that she has become lazy or unimaginative by bringing in other characters from another novel she has written (Desiel and Wulf). However I must disagree, I find it entertaining! I believe Janet brought in those two characters because it sounded like fun, and why not!!? People need to realize that maybe Janet wasn't focusing on character development these past books because she wanted to test the waters on mixing up the different characters, or maybe she is setting everything up for a big change but needs certain things to transpire... I thought this book was very funny with a couple of new funny characters. No, she didn't easily catch all her skips either, don't know why someone said that? I would love to see her next book to be about Joe wanting kids so Stephanie is having to test the waters by either helping out with a family daycare part-time or by watching Joe's nieces and nephews with Joe's help of course. Like I said book 25 is great, Janet hasn't lost her touch, and I hope she continues for another 25 more plum rockin books!!

Pleasant diversion
Having read most of the books in this series, I knew what to expect from Stephanie Plum - crazy, illogical, and humorous attempts to catch the bad guys and more sexual tension between Steph and Ranger, despite her relationship with Morelli. Nonetheless, a pleasant diversion when you don't want to think too hard.

Love Lula in this book
It's always a pleasure to read a book in the hilarious series by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie, Lula, Ranger and Morelli make quite the colorful characters in this series. Lula is my favorite character, her wild personality and her I don't give a crap attitude is the highlight of this series. I think we all can relate to our inner Lula! In this book, Vinnie finds himself having to staff a deli, and who better to send in than Stephanie and Lula? Of course, there's always a catch with Vinnie, so when Stephanie finds out that prior managers of the deli have been disappearing, leaving only a shoe behind, she knows it's time for Ranger to help. I laughed from the beginning of this book and had a great time catching up with my friends in the burg. The only disappointing aspect was Grandma Mazur and Steph's mom didn't appear as much as usual. Other than that, the book was fantastic. I loved the twist at the end with grandma, so I will be putting the next book on priority list.

โโBabe, your life is a train wreckโ
Cousin Vinnie makes Stephanie and Lula work at a deli he got as collateral for a bond. The deli has problems. Managers keep disappearing when taking out the garbage. Just one of their shoes is left behind. Almost everyone in Trenton blames aliens. But Morelli, Ranger, and Stephanie intend to find the human kidnappers. This is a fun plot with both Morelli and Ranger guarding Stephanie to keep her alive and out of trouble. As Ranger observes, her life is a train wreck. If youโre following the series, you know whoโs who in this review. If not, start with the first book. Youโre in for a great ride. The fun never lets up.
