DO NOT FEED DAIRY TO YOUR BIRDS! Birds should NOT eat yogurt or any other dairy products. Birds ARE lactose intolerant!
Birds are lactose intolerant, did you know that? The yogurt in these treats contains lactose. This means that your birds tummy cannot properly process the yogurt in this treat (or any milk products for that matter). Without the ability to process lactose, your bird is likely suffering from gut pains without you even knowing it (birds hide their illness and pain very well). You probably didn't know birds were lactose intolerant if you bought this product and rated it 5 stars because your bird happily gobbled it up. Dogs love chocolate too, but as we also know, chocolate can literally kill dogs so you don't feed it to them either... Long story short, if you're bird enjoys the taste of this treat, that's fine and dandy, however please KNOW that it is likely to cause your birds some gastrointestinal distress; and the more of this treat that your birds eat, and the longer this treat is fed to them, and the older the bird is and gets, then the greater the negative impact of this treat will be on your beloved pet bird. I highly recommend NOT to feed yogurt or milk or cheeses to your birds. IF you choose to do continuing to feed this treat to your bird, then please know that you ARE harming your bird and I insist that you toss this treat in the waste basket. Birds are NOT a species that EVER consumes milk at birth, therefore birds NEVER develop the ability to process milk and their bodies do NOT have the proper enzyme to digest lactose. This means if the bird eats yogurt because it tastes great, it's still going to hurt them as the food works its way through their bodies. IF you REALLY care about your pet bird, you will give them another treat that they can learn to love instead of feeding them something that is absolutely harmful to their little bodies. Kaytee brand's regular non-yogurt-coated papaya treats are a fantastic and healthy treat, and parrots love raises and other fresh fruits like chopped banana. Remember, just like a dog eating toxic chocolate, your birds will happily eat anything that tastes good too...but later on in the digestive process your bird isn't likely to tell you "my tummy hurts really bad and it's getting worse and worse". The only tell-tale sign that will prove to you what I'm saying is true, is if you religiously watch your birds poop consistency or habits all all moments after eating this treat...OR you can just take my word for it and not try to prove me wrong by harming your bird and feeding them this product as a terrible science experiment...OR you can Google what I'm saying to verify that what I say here is scientifically correct. Good luck and many happy and healthy years to you and your pet birds! I hope this info helps people. :)Shame on Kaytee for selling this particular product and similar ones like it. I will say that overall Kaytee is a very good brand...however their oversight on continuing to market and sell yogurt products to bird owners is a dreadful shame...

Great Treat
I bought these without realizing they are for birds. I have a hamster. Many bird food/treats can be fed to hamsters-I looked at the ingredients & everything was similar to hamster treats. My Chinese Dwarf Hamster loves these. I am careful not to give her more then three a day. With some food she puts aside to eat later, these she eats right away. She seems to really like them. I would guess birds would too, while I feed wild birds, they get cheaper wild bird food. As a side note, many things for hamsters & birds are interchangeable, but can be more expensive for one pet over another. The small corn on the cobs that pop like popcorn can be more expensive for birds at times, hamsters other times...they are the same corn on the cobs, so it is safe to buy whichever is a better price. Great treat!

Thought my birdies would LOVE these, but HECK NO!
I bought these yogurt covered sunflower seeds for my two conures as an occasional treat. They both LOVE sunflower seeds & yogurt covered anything, so I thought these would be a win-win. I was wrong. One of them was utterly terrified of them (color?) and would climb on the other side of her cage if I put one in her dish. Mean birdmom. The other parrot just threw them.I decided to taste the outer coating & could understand why. It was dry & tasted very little like blueberry.I'm giving them 3 stars because I gave these to my friend's "garbage disposal" parrot who LOVED them.

Great source of yogurt into our avian friends' diet, make a terrific bonding treat as well. Our birds/parrots dance on perches 4
Parrots love for their very special "treat time". Good treats for parrots. Our cockatiels and parrots run & dance across their playpen perches when they see this bag of treats come out, super good treat for all avians of proper size. Bonding treat between you & your avian pet. For some reason our birds, parrots.. all avian pets we've had have overwhelmingly chosen these "blueberry yogurt dipped sunflower seeds" over any other treat. We try not to allow them to have many sunflower seeds in general, yet giving these as a treat were a bit cautious at first. Keep in mind, they are only a "treat" & don't smell as they have much sodium which could be overbearing, these aren't.Our birds absolutely dance across can't get them fast enough. It's funny watching them get so excited for a treat!! Fun to watch, not harmful when used only as treats for birds, parrots.

An added treat for the birds
Kaytee Fiesta blueberry flavored yogurt covered seeds are my yard birds favorite treats. I usually fill up a smaller feeder with these as a treat for the birds that visit my yard. The squirrels like them also. The pkg is smaller then it seems, I put a russet next to it to give you comparison size.

Parrots don’t like it
My two parrots don’t like these and won’t eat them. My one African grey is picky, so it’s not surprising. But my Macaw loves nearly everything but he didn’t like these. He’d eat a few then leave the rest. ☹️

My parrot hated them so I ended up throwing them out
These are the cheap tiny black sunflower seeds in their shells still with blue coating over top of it. My parrot hated them so I ended up throwing them out.
