"The book Nigel Farage doesn't want you to read"
The negative reviews on this page are wholly unjustified. Gavin Esler is a respected journalist in British circles and in this book he gives a well-balanced account of the pros and cons of Brexit. We should have had this information to hand before the 2016 referrendum. I urge anyone involved in making decisions on Brexit to read it.The whole Brexit issue has been obfuscated by British politicians on all sides. It takes a journalist like Gavin Esler to sit back and take a more measured look at the whole picture in a relatively even-handed way. This book is proof of the fact that the British public could have had an informed debate on Brexit before making a final decision.P.S. The book fails to consider the impact of Facebook and Cambridge Analytica on the Brexit referrendum. More info on this in the documentary "The Great Hack.

Brexit with the BS, I’m not so sure
A good analysis of the mechanics of how our country works, and the potential impact of Brexit upon them. There is some of the writers thoughts but the underlying data appears accurate.A good read, if only to learn a little more about Brexit.

The facts not the fantasies
First of all, many thanks to Gavin Esler for putting in the hard work of research needed to compile a readable book on a subject that is so complex and usually politically weighted. We all want to understand the effects on Britain of the threatened "No Deal Brexit" well here it is within these 100 pages, the basics that we all need to know.I was already aware that many major companies have been moving their operations to other European cities to avoid the effects of Brexit on their trading ability and was sad to see it confirmed within the pages of this book.I would highly recommend all voting public read this book to arm themselves with the facts needed to make voting decisions that will effect the future prosperity and international standing of our nation for decades to come.

This book is well written and packed full of the real facts and figures pertaining to Brexit. I highly recommend this book if you really want to know what is going to happen to the UK as a result of Brexit. Provides us with the facts and figures that we were not provided with in the run-up to the referendum.

Straight to the point
No nonsense brexit analysis from the great Gavin Esler, and a commendation on the back from Jessica Simor, who better!Straight to the point, and it should be on ever student's reading list who has to study brexit as part of their politics degree, like I do.Gavin writes the book, and doesn't mince his words, just like in real life.

Wer sich für Brexit interessiert... hoher Unterhaltungswert
Das Buch berichtet darüber, wie es zum Brexit kam und was die Auswirkungen sind. Sehr unterhaltsam und lustig, wenn man nicht in UK lebt.

Brexit fact, not fantasy.
The book strips bare the excuses, the fantasies and the ignorance of those pushing the idea that the UK can go it alone in the globalized world. Without attacking the personalities, the author serves up the facts, identifies the quantifiables and where one must fall back on speculation, points out that these are based on projection. Though his speculations are at least founded on understanding patterns and the things that drive them. His analysis of potential impacts is excellent, particularly in his explanations of how the NHS will suffer, how supply chains can and most likely will be disrupted. In the final chapter he summarises some of the commonly misunderstood aspects of trade, trade deals, institutions and, of course, the WTO. A great pity as he says, that many of our politicians babble away about them without any understanding of what they are or indeed, what they do.My best take away from this book? Brexit is not a cut off, or an event, it is a process that will still be influencing our lives for many years to come.

Gripping!
I bought this book after listening to the author speak about it on a podcast. I was gripped by it immediately and say and read it all in one session. I thought I was up to speed on brexit but this book added things I had never heard mentioned in the media, backed up by facts and figures. It's well written and an easy read but slightly disturbing. If you're looking for a summary of the potential consequences of the referendum then this book is for you.
