The Last Ship: The Complete Series (Blu-ray)

I admit that I did have the opportunity to purchase this dvd set via Amazon of The Last Ship The Complete Series by May 6, 2019 and I thought that maybe I would have already watched the whole dvd set by around the timeframe of August/September 2019. However, I admit that I am probably going to need much more time to get through this whole dvd set (November 2019 at the earliest andor June/July 2020 at the latest). My husband has playfully joked with me why I started to watch the series and became a fan though in his defense I reluctantly admit that I was partially influenced by a June 2014 magazine advertisement image that I had seen of this show via Entertainment Weekly magazine which influenced me to watch this show by the 2015/2016 timeframe. Still, there are also a multiple number of talented actors and actresses that are featured andor contribute to multiple seasons of the Last Ship in some way. However, for the viewers looking at this reviewer who are novices to this the Last Ship dvd series the following are some of the details on the series summaries for those who are still deciding: Season 1 includes background details on the U.S. state that the USS Nathan James is based out of (Norfolk Virginia) and how some of what happens to multiple family members of the crew of the USS Nathan James sets the tone for the rest of the season and into future series, Season 2 includes a tie-in to Baltimore and the difficult circumstance that awaits a member of the USS Nathan James to overcome because of a family member being significantly connected to being very dangerous, Season 3 deals with the USS Nathan James being heavily involved in affairs in Asia and the heart-string pulling reason that one of the main villains of the season explains how and why they were influenced to carry out the plans that they did, Season 4 deals with a lethal brother and sister and father trio in Greece and I reluctantly admit that I found myself having a some twinges of sympathy for one of the villian’s attempts to garner their father’s approval for completing some of the father’s plans (even with this series being of the fiction genre and the fact that I saw the conclusion of season 4 some time after my late adoptive father had already passed away), and Season 5 is set in Latin America with the one of the villains written to have a connection to Disney in some way. Even if you are completely new to watching the Last Ship tv series, you might enjoy The Last Ship complete series if you like watching tv shows with a creative fiction adventure energy (this series is based on the Last Ship novel by William Brinkley).

We live off grid, so we have a lot of series on dvd since we don't get cable or antenna reception. (we have 3000 dvds) The last ship was hands down the best action series we've seen. Every episode seemed to have very well produced actions sequences that were decently believable. Some other good ones were Alias 8.5 out of 10, 24 8.5 out of 10, Amerikans 8 of 10. Murdoch mysteries series were wholesome but slow.

I watched a few episodes on TNT and was interested. Bought the whole set and truly love it. A must see as the world deals with a real pandemic. However if your freaked out by the real pandemic this is not your show. It is a good drama for people 21+. I would not let a child or teen watch this, but I'm sure most teens watch much worse today. Not in my house.

Under the circumstances when streaming services bare no financial responsibility for loosing license to share a content, but charging you for it, I started a process of obtaining some movies and digitizing for local collection.This is a great addition to our taste and quality for the price paid.P.S. Keep in mind that the show is RELATED to the story from the book, and not 100% based on it. Other than that, a good show

They have started showing episodes on cable TV, but there is nothing like blu-ray without the 17 minutes of commercials per hour-long show. A worldwide epidemic and the last US Naval Ship has the cure with the restof the world trying to steal or destroy it.Great entertainment.

You have to suspend belief a little here and there, but it's a good series.Season 3 was not as good.

This has to be the best TV Series ever produced. From the first episode you are drawn into the movie and then you can't wait to see the next episode and then you realize your hooked. All the actors gave great performances throughout the series. I highly recommend "The Last Ship", you won't be disappointed.

Love the series, so decided to purchase it. Unfortunately, looks like I got a counterfeit: Season 1-disc 3 was a CD ROM that wouldn’t play in my DVD or Blue Ray player, when loaded into my computer it had a creation date of 2050 and picture noticably pixelly.Tried contacting the seller via Amazon to inquire re. reliability of source for the product but didn’t hear back, so I returned it and will look to purchase from a different vendor. Very disappointed!

Excellent series, the quality of picture is excellent for the standard dvd series, I would recommend this complete series set.Very pleased with the shipping and quality of service by Amazon.
