Very helpful
This pamphlet was far more helpful than I ever imagined it would be! I am very glad I picked this up, it is small yes but impactful. It gave information about how to grow from seeds or sets, transplant, create your own sets and what variety is best for your growing zone. There is some detailed information on different types of onions and a section on pests and diseases. Having never grown onions before I now feel far more confident to being this new adventure.

A lot of information in a small package
This is a pretty complete guide to growing onions. Despite its small size, it is packed with information on growing onions from seeds, sets or plants all the way to harvest and storage. It also has some info on onion relatives such as chives, leeks, and shallots. Well worth the price.

Overall good!
A couple of weeks. For instance: page 5 says short days are good for the north and the south. The North should have long day onions recommended and short day for the South. Has the right varieties listed. Just a small error on the 8th line.

All About Onions
This was a concise and thorough booklet about every kind of onion plant species. It covered every kind of onion from garlic and leeks, to chives and shallots. I learned about planting to potting all kinds of onions. The author covered harvesting and storing, each different type. She also covered pests and diseases, for each type of species. This is a short well edited pamphlet that I would recommend to any gardener or cook.

More Than Just Onions
Most of the Storey Country Wisdom Bulletins are gems, and this one is no exception. In addition to the common bulb onion, there are briefs on chives, garlic, garlic chives, leeks, potato onions, shallots, Egyptian onions, and Welsh onions. All of these include a discussion of planting, propagating, harvesting, and storing. A separate section deals with pests and diseases. The bulb onion section includes a discussion of which types of bulb onions work where and why.
