Best case I have ever owned
I'm pretty tough on phones and have mostly had the toughest phone I could get . Always had cases too, most cases lasted about 6 months before being headed to garbage. Have had this case over 3 years now and still going strong, the charge port cover did break off but water proof is not high on my list

After spending ~20 minutes trying to figure out the problem, threw it in the trash
Someone else complained about this so I'll throw in to help make the point: The product I received does not actually fit my Google Pixel 3a XL.The case is a two piece design: One piece snaps onto the front of your phone, the other piece wraps around the back and onto the front piece. The front piece is really poorly designed. It has little cutouts for the power and volume buttons, but there's an extra bar over the volume buttons, probably to provide extra support/sturdiness. This phone has a rocker volume button layout, so it's one piece that rocks up or down, right? The bar shouldn't really be a problem if it was lined up perfectly, but it's not. The buttons are not vertically centered (so they're too close to the "back" compared to the hole) and the bar is not centered on the rocker switch. This presents a problem once you wrap the back around because the bottom volume button is basically permanently held in once it's on right. I could only make it stop if I had the button side of the back not "clipped" into the front piece. This thing only costed me $13, and while I'd much rather have that money back I was curious since there are so few cases with kickstands for this phone. I used some side cutters to clip the little "extra" bar, didn't make a difference, same problem. Tossed in in the trash.Even without that poor design/fit problem I wouldn't have kept it. The screen protector is crap. It doesn't make proper contact with the screen and leaves rainbow marks when you do touch the screen until it lifts back off. And, while I get that this is a big phone and pretty much any "rugged protection" case will add extra bulk, it made this phone extremely too big. It has little plugs to cover the headphone and USB ports, but nothing for the speakers and the screen protector leaves that one exposed, too. Weird complaint maybe but there's no point in adding so much bulk to protect just 2 out of 4 ingress points. That also ignores the fact that the buttons have little holes in them to allow them to flex, I guess, which... I guess makes this a bunch of security theater?I'd give it a 1 out of 5 if it had cost more than $15 because it's a complete rip off. I know some people are willing to accept mediocrity as long as it's cheap, so you might be ok with this. As for me, I'm switching back to my Spigen Tough Armor. The kick stand broke on my first but I might be able to 3D print a new one or just buy another for ... $2 more than this junk.

One darned good phone protector!!
This is my second one of these. I have this on my Pixel 3a XL. One of the features I value highly is the stand on the back that allows the phone to be propped up in portrait mode. Many others can sit their phones up in landscape, but ignore portrait for some reason. As I said, this is my second one. The first I had on a Moto G7, and I was completely satisfied with it. Then I lost that phone in some brush at a highway rest area in southern Idaho. It was gone! I needed a phone, though, so I went out and got the Pixel that night. A week later, I stopped at the same rest area and thought "I wonder ..." Sure enough, there under a bunch of fallen leaves and dead grass, was my G7. It had been out in the rain and snow, and looked like I may have walked on it when it leaped out of my pocket. I took it home, removed the cover, dried the phone and plugged it in. It charged right up and reported for duty!Any phone protector that really PROTECTS its phone is good enough for me to keep using! I've had one for several years now, and have yet to find anything to complain about. For the price, it cannot be beaten!!

I dropped my phone again and this case works
I didn't buy it to be pretty or colorful. It is a chunky, solid black, heavy duty case. But wow, it really works! I drop my phone often 🤦 and so far, couldn't ask for a better protective case.I searched for a case to replace my beloved ballistic case that I used on my old phone...sadly, gave up and tried two other brands before finding this one. Love, love, love it.Only 2 things I kind of don't like:I don't need or use the kick stand so I wish I could take it off because I don't like feeling something loose on the back of the phone. The squeeze for assistant on a Pixel is slightly harder than I would like.My other half got the same case for his phone so we frequently mix them up - Hello Poetic... if you offered another color I would buy it just for that reason. And, OK, a colorful case wouldn't be a bad thing.I never had any button issues like others mentioned. Case fits perfectly. I also (for the first time ever) left the protective screen on and it works just fine, too.I did use an exacto knife to cut the cover off of the charger port - it was just too much trouble to open (it fit really tightly) and a C port is all about making it easy to plug in. Speaker cuts are just right and phone sounds good.If you are looking for a pretty case...nope. But if you want to protect your phone - absolutely this is the one!

Apart from the screen protector, everything else is great. Solid 4/5
Like others stated the cheap plastic screen protector is garbage, it doesnt feel as good as glass tempered protectors, easily scratches and is a fingerprint magnet. Otherwise its a great rugged case, with a decent kickstand.Like others i removed the plastic screen protector, and put a super shields screen protector on(it was a butt to put it in the case without the protector getting peeled off, but was totally worth it) and was 100% perfect.

Flawed volume down button!! Here's how I fixed it..
I had to trim some of the rubber off of the volume down button on the inside of the case. It was too long and wasn't allowing the button to function. I trimmed a tiny amount, 1mm or less with some snips, and it now functions. I had to take the case on and off about 5 times to figure out what was wrong. Super annoying! Of course I now read about others having this same issue, but did not see anyone suggest a way to fix it. If I didn't like the case otherwise I would have probably returned it.

Not suitable for Google pixel 3a XL!
Fits phone and is very chunky so protects phone very well. But the buttons on the side are constantly pressing against the phone buttons making the volume increase and decrease whether you like it or not, restarting or just simply turns off your phone. You also lose the ability to squeeze the phone to get Google up. Would not recommend if you actually want to be able to use your phone!

Buy it now
I have bought 2 of these now, 1 for my phone and 1 for my partner's phone. Excellent value for money. They are a tight fit, holes where you need them, and feel great. I've not dropped my phone yet but I don't plan on doing so.

Good, with one minor problem
The only problem with this case was that the front part had a bar over the volume button, which put the phone into its bios. I rectified this myself, and the case is brilliant

It's a good phone case
Nice phone case bit blocky. But overall a good case. The stand does seem a bit flimsy and barely stays in place.
