My 5 year quest to find warm socks has ended
I bought one pair of these and one pair of Alpaca warriors and wore only those 2 socks every day for 3 months. Here is what I found. These are my new go to warm socks, but both have their place.I have spent hundreds of dollars trying new socks every few months to find something that will combat my poor blood circulation, chronically cold feet and my very drafty 60 degree house. Finally found something to write about.PROS:They are durable!!! They are finally starting to show some wear after wearing the same pair every other day for 3 months. I intentionally abused them to see how they would hold up. Still strong and warm but beginning to show light wear now. These don't smell!!! As mentioned above, I have been abusing them. Takes over a week for them to stink and I have very sweaty feet. These are warm!!! They are the second warmest socks I have ever owned (more on my Alpaca Warrior socks later). Way better than my top of the line, thick, and much more expensive smart wool. No contest.CONS:They don't wick well... I need to find an undersock that will wick better. However that might be coz these are a little big on me and don't hug my feet very tight. My next pair I will get smaller. Not the most confortable. But still quite comfortable. My Alpaca Warrior socks are way more comfortable. Those feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I consider these an every day and much more practical socks though. My Alpacas are warmer and wick better but are not as durable, smell faster, and are wearing out much faster. They are also much thicker and don't fit inside my shoes as well.If I'm going to be sitting inside watching TV, I prefer my Alpacas. They are more like slippers without soles. If I'm going to be outside waking around, I prefer my carharts since they hold up better.I will be buying 5 more pair of these and 2 more pair of Alpaca and use them as intended rather than abusing them in the future.

I hate socks, and these are amazing!
I wear flip flops 89% of the year in Ohio. I do hate socks, these are like walking on a cloud and crazy warm, I got them for winter camping so I could retain all my digits. I can not say anything bad about this product. I've washed them incorrectly a couple of times now and everything is fine. The top of these that go over the cav is slightly mesh woven so it fits comfortably over giant man muscles and doesn't constrict like everything else on the market.Con: The cost of these socks being good enough to wear as slippers and the cloud cushion means they have a couple millimeter give in any given direction (not in a blister way). The first time I wore these things I was over joyed that a product this nice existed, having these on my feet I decided to run up my laminate basement stairs and show them off to the wife. I made it maybe three or four steps before this 250 6'3" man feel like a toddler. So if I can save one person the pain of falling up the stairs then this review is worth it!Tldr: Real Carhartt quality slippers that fit!

Warm, thick, and comfortable!
Bought this for my partner as his feet are usually cold. He didn’t own any warm socks; only workout socks and work socks. It’s winter where we live and wanted to get him something substantial. He’s been wearing them consistently. They’ve kept up with all the washing. No weird smells. Fits the same. I’m considering buying more so he can have on rotation instead of rewashing the same pair all the time! He’s only worn indoors alone or along with slippers. Not sure how they hold up in the elements or how comfortable with boots.

Comfortable
I was looking to replace thick anti-wick socks that used to buy, before Red Wing went out of business. These fill the gap, somewhat. They're not quite as thick, but I will say that they are warm. There is a thicker part of the sock at the upper curve of the foot that keeps the boot from rubbing your foot. It's really comfortable. Overall, the socks don't squeeze too tightly. Reviewers that pointed out the looseness of the top of sock are correct. But they fit over the calf and will stay up...until you take your pants off, then they'll come down. They're made well.

The socks fit me fine. They are very bulky and are a squeeze ...
I wear a 10.5 C shoe and have experienced cold feet from time to time. This winter I've been wearing an old pair of wool socks and some felt slip on boots that came with some chest waders I used to have. The old wool socks were getting threadbare so I decided to replace them with the Carhartt socks. After reading the reviews I decided to get the Xlarge pair instead of the Large suggested by the sizing chart. The socks fit me fine. They are very bulky and are a squeeze in a pair of old leather slip on tassle loafers I wear around the house during the day, but would work if I decided to use them thusly. They ARE great in my felt boots at night when the temperatures drop. The combination of the socks and the felt boots are comparable to the battery operated socks hunters or ice fishermen use. My feet are toasty and I frequently wiggle my toes in delight!

My favorite hunting socks.
Nice warm socks that fit my men's size 12 feet. These socks are nice and tall also - mid/high calf. My favorite hunting socks for the Colorado winters.

Nice, thick and warm, fits as expected
These are some of the best, thickest, warmest socks I own. I purchased large and I take size 12 men's foot ware, and they fit very nicely.
