MINKA-AIREF896-65-CL, Xtreme H2O 65" Ceiling Fan in Coal Finish with Remote and Additional Wall Control

Purchased this to replace old 52” Hunter which had given up the ghost after 5 years. We wanted something larger that moved more air. This was easy to install (directions didn’t help watch some YouTube videos from Minka Air). Took about an hour to get the old fan down and the new fan up and running. Simple tools ( Phillips head screwdriver, wire cutter/stripper). What no one mentions is this fan has a very unique blade design that moves more are not only outwards but also down the center where you might be sitting. The blades are narrow and the leading edges are flat but the trailing edges are molded downward at a 45 degree pitch! This combined with the pitch of the rotor head which angles the blades up moves a lot of air. This is wonderful. Anyway, back to the install:The Wife wanted to do it so I turned her loose with it and she did a professional job with it. Very proud of her. Looking forward to spending more time on the back porch this summer( it gets hot down here in South East Georgia. Again , Highly Recommended this outdoor ceiling fan.

The media could not be loaded.  Absolutely love the airflow output. The install is pretty straight forward (it’s a ceiling fan). However, there seems to be an engineering flaw with the underside switch plate. I’ve literally put it on numerous times only to have it fall off. I’ve emailed the company and waiting on reply but this should be a very simple attachment but for me it’s not. It has 3 slots that 3 prongs should fit into and you turn it clockwise until snug ( yeah right) — if you over tighten it the fan doesn’t move. Secondly, the remote is a nice feature but it has very little information regarding certain buttons .. all in all I’m very pleased but it could use simpler more detailed instructions as well as fixing the Switch plate (where the light would go).

This is one of the best fans I've ever bought. It moves more air then anything I've ever bought before. Integrated it with Smartthings and Alexa and it works flawlessly.

We purchased 2 of these fans for our outdoor patio pergola. The contractor said they were very easy to install. They put out good air flow for our west facing patio. Price was the same everywhere we looked, but of course Amazon got them to us faster.

I ordered three of these fans. Two of them work great, but one had a bad motor. Since I could not get and electrician to my house to install it until after the return period I am out the cost of one of the fans. Disappointing.

Gorgeous, modern fan. Arrived in two days, easy for electrician to install.
