We purchased this clock to replace an older one from another manufacturer, that had stopped working properly. We had already had it repaired once before, several years ago, and couldn't justify spending that much, or more, to have it repaired again. The Howard Miller clock closely resembles the original clock, and works beautifully so far - a slight timing adjustment was all that was needed. The chimes are soft and quite nice. I highly recommend this clock to anyone looking for a clock that is also a beautiful piece of furniture!
